why cold votes - can you let me know where i can get this cheaper please
Perhaps many don't think £24 for a torch is a great deal...
I have one of these and it is fantastic. If you need to ask why you should spend £24 on a torch then this clearly isn't for you but if like me you wanted something small, robust and super powerful then this is great. The beam can pick out detail at about 200m and can fill a room with light as the head if focusable.
So are we talking better than a similarly-sized Mini Maglite?
As much as I am skeptical of this shop (sold me a USB hub that took out my motherboard) I have had a CR123 torch for the last couple of year and it is the excellent... half the price of the Amazon one btw.

I got one last time for around the same price - amazing little pocket torch, my old maglite is now binned.

Have some heat.

Only about 100 times better.
Maglite stuff is a total joke compared to this. (Well, maglite is pretty much a joke anyway when it comes to being a good torch, at least the 4 D cell torches make a good club)

Nice find and a good price, but take my advice, anyone who seriously needs a very good torch, buy this one, im not saying this is the cheapest price btw, just putting it up as a link to the product.

I use a torch all the time, work issued me with a 2 C cell magleite, which is bulky to carry, and the light output is rubbish. I bought the above and there is no comparison between it and the maglite. I have a 4 D cell maglite at home amd was so impressed witht he P7 that i bought a 2nd one to replace this, the P7 puts out more light than the big maglite and its now been relegated to hitting burglars with and i dont even think theres batteries in it anymore.
Agree LED lenser are very good, fenix are brighter but you wont get a decent fenix for £24.

more than you ever want to know about torches here:
Just ordered mine.
Thanks. :)
Looks good. There's an independent review on Youtube here:- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jkr35fZ2aLQ&NR=1

does anyone know if this is the new version which is 105 lumens, or the old 85 lumens version?
does anyone know if this is the new version which is 105 lumens, or the old 85 lumens version?

from the description it says
'The light output is 80 Lumens from just 3 x AAA alkaline batteries'

sorry, im not seeing that on amazon. there are two versions of this torch from my research, one which is the 80 or 85, and a newer version which is 105. looking at the uk distributor they havent updated the website from 80/85 yet. but some third party sellers in the uk are doing the 105.

hrmm so tempted. i was looking on deal extreme for holders for my bike too:

the torch says 32mm diameter and this holder is 30. but im going to risk it and hope i can force it in, purely because this model looks better/sturdy than others.
doh! as I was going through the checkout process _after_ i had entered in my card details, it pops up and says "tough, you now have to wait 4-5 weeks for delivery". someone must have just pipped me to the last one! how incredibly frustrating!
There's an update on the Amazon UK page to advise it will be back in stock on Wednesday, October 7th - hope that helps.

Cheers, Scotty Boy!
