Fantastic deal from Millets on this torch set.

Not only do you get the LED Lenser Police Tech Focus Torch (fantastic on its own - RRP £44.99 and usually sold for over £25), but you also get an LED Lenser V2 Keyfinder Torch!

In essence you are saving £5 on the Police Tech Focus and getting a free V2 Keyfinder worth around £10!

Really fantastic deal - two great torches for £20 as opposed to buying them separately for closer to £40!

10% discount voucher still seems to be working.

Cheapest delivery option is £4.95 though.

Edit: found a 15% discount code

Anyone know whether you can use the body for modding? Are there any replacment LED drop-ins available? To be honest the LED in this is a bit crap by todays standards.

1.25 watt is a bit pants these days, managed to pick up a 3 watt (£12) and 4 watt (£17) from tesco last week, though stocks are getting rare now.
#10
Seems like the voucher codes no longer work.....

"A current promotion for the voucher code christmas15 could not be found."

Therefore back to reduced price of £20 +del

But the wattage just represents the amount of power it consumes, not how much is actually emitted as light. An efficient 1.25 watt may be better than a cheap 3 watt. Also, the manufacturer will often use a wattage which is the theoretical maximum, whereas the driver circuit in the light actually delivers less. Then you have to take into account the optics of the light (reflector or lens, etc.)

Great deal ... thanks

Just went to Millets site to have a look and 20% off today (Friday) only. The other discount code wouldn't work with it though :(

Not sure if quidco will work aswell, but as you don't use a voucher code I am hopeful.

Discount was applied to basket automatically.

So works out at £20.95 delivered (I was tempted to buy two!)

Thanks again

Edit:
Just wondering now if I should have gone for the p7 instead - its only £37.94 inc del with the 20% off today - and the picture shows it as the pack with the p3 aswell. I just can't work out from the reviews how much better it is, so whether its worth the extra £17.00?
#16
I have just ordered one of these sets and when you add it to your cart you get a 20% discount which it says is for today only. So forget the 15% code and run with this. Also tried quidco as well but I know this might not work. Good find

You WANT lower power consumption that way your batteries last longer.

The light output of this torch is little short of phenomenal, high build quality too.

This might be a good torch but you can get very good 5w and 7w torches from fleebay for a third of this price.

Admittedly some might say they are not as good a quality as this (likely so) but I've had one for over a year getting regular use (and hammer) and they are still going strong, and they are very very bright - no ideal what lumen value they are though
#21
I know nothing about LED lights, is it poss to change the light/bulb for somehting a little stronger?

Yes, but it's more complicated than for regular incandescent bulbs. You'd need a bit of knowledge about LEDs and to be able to solder.

wattage is not an indication of how good a torch is. it is a measure of how much power consumed with no regard to the output.

this means watts do not represent the efficiency of the led. so, in other words, assuming that this torch and your 5w and 7w torches have the same lumens, it means that your 5 w and 7w torches are less energy efficient, or that you need higher power batteries (which are often bigger) to last as many hours.

these torches seem to come in two varients, 60 and 80lumens. i have one, though i am unsure which, and it is seriously blinding bright and has a laser warning on it.

it is a very good quality torch, i was a bit dubious when i brought mine because the pictures dont do it justice and make it look cheaper in quality than it really is.

i am tempted to buy a second!

The description says 80 lumens.

Heat/Rep given!

Seen a couple of deals posted in past for one of these torches (single torch not this set!) and descided todays deal with 20% off for the set and possible 6% Quidco was too good to pass up so have duly ordered. :-D

Thanks.

Just online I expect. I passed by a Millets earlier and they only had the Police Tech by itself, discounted to £22.

Gone for one, Thx OP
Go the 20% Off & QuidCo has tracked at £1.26

damn missed up seems unavailable now

Missed it :(

Anyone that missed this deal may want to try this.... for half the price of this Lenser and far more powerful.

http://www.ledshoppe.com/Product/ledp/LP1078.htm

The power in this torch is unbelievable. I never would have believed that a 3 AAA torch could be this bright and send a spot beam so far.
#34
My Quidco has tracked at £1.26 even with the 20% off being automatically applied! :-D Brings the total just under £20 delivered. Will do nicely!

How long do the batteries last? 5W sounds like it would be quite a drain. I'll think about buying one if you get decent battery life.

Its hard to guage how long the batteries last as i only use it for short periods of time... but i would hazzard a guess at around 60 to 90 minutes runtime using the rechargable hybrio type 850m/ah triple A's i use.
You dont get any warning they are going to run out, the torch just stops working instantly. I guarantee though that you wull be blown away by the power of this torch.
#37
Use torches on my push bike, had a police tech focus and they are pretty good lights but not the same quality or output as something like a fenix LD20 which cost about £33 in the summer, probably £45 or more this time of year. Personally find 2 AA torches better than 3AAAs.

Sorry, I misread your post, I assumed you must have meant AA batteries. I didn't think you could get that much power from AAA batteries, looks good to me.
