Led lenser torch £27.99 @ Amazon

Got one of these a few weeks ago and it cost me £35.00, This is a great buy from amazon at this price. It is so well made and is small enough to fit in your pocket, Very bright and the beam travels long distance. Much better than some of these larger plastic torches.

great torch, it has a laser warning on it because it is so bright!

i have even seen this torch used on csi :)

cold, this is only 105 lumen - you can get proper 900 lumen ssc-p7 lights from deal extreme for half the price!

wouldnt buy any torch from a retaier in this country as they are so overpriced and rubbish......bought several from dealextreme and they are seriously powerful and make maglite look like kiddies toys - much brighter and alot, like the uniquefire's and mte's, are better made
paid $37 for an mte3-2 which is about 15cm long - claimed 700 lumens which doesnt mean everything but its seriously bright...can light trees from 1800feet...dont shine in peoples eyes tho as its so bright you can at least temp blind - check you tube as people do alot of comparisons with it and a fenix (which is $160 - and the mte is brighter but its spread isnt as big as the fenix) and laughably against the now pathetic maglites

Ye if u spend £27.99 at dealextreme your gonna get a monster flash light, But this torch wont break.

sort ifr agree but lumens dont mean everything in the same way megapixels isnt the be all and all for cameras....however 105 lumen is pathetic lol...bought a uniquefire cree r2 - its only 9cm long - really tiny - as small as the smallest maglite but better built - reckon you could drive over it - but its 220 lumens......always sceptical but its believable

here we go - clueless moron time !!
have you ever used or bought one? most of the decent torches (cree's,etc) are built like tanks - better build then maglites of which i also have several and MILES better
where do you think most torches are made....er china.....durr..

have you seen the torches from dealextreme....they are way ahead.....use digitally regulated potected lithium aa or versized aa batteries not some poxy "wont last long" nimh batteries (the aa ones look like normal aa lithium except they have a mini printed curcuit board at the top)

when these torches start being sold in uk retail shops muppets like you will buy them but have to pay 5-6 times as much because it has everyready/sony on it...lol!

checkout youtube...bit a plank (tho i wouldnt say that to his face..lol1!!)...mte m3-2 here ($37 on dealextreme)

better comparison 4 cell maglite v 2 cell maglite v mte m3-2
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-7PHSoxMh40

note the pathetic light the maglites emit compared to the mte - mte is 00's times brighter

i have 1 ssc-p7 , 3 cree, 1 fenix light, the driver units in them stopped working on 2 of them. And u cant send something back to dealextreme.com its just not practicle.
Dont give me rubbish about them been well made cause there not, There just machined metal Badly made led's thats are overpowered, my ssc p7 after 10 mins is red hot and u cant even hold it. I agree with u on the lithium batterys there awesome loads of power, but there not safe 1 of my chargers melted.
#9
maglites arnt bright, but they will last u a life time, Like fenix, and led lenser. you pay for what u get.
#10
Infact everything on dealextreme is badly made thats why its cheap.

dont agree bought loads of stuff....ive not had a problem.....maybe youve been unlucky....

I accept that you dont really get a guarantee @ dealextreme - not worth sending it back....but stuff is 4-10 times cheaper

ive had one item of 00's not work and they just sent a replacement.

quality is good and getting better all the time...you do realise that most electrical/battery goods are made in china....even apples ipads and iphones

i drove over a 3 cell maglite in my car....accidently of course - barely a scratch lol!
dont get me wrong maglites are great well built and will last (one of mine is approx 20 years old) but weak output

Although I haven't used them myself you can now get LED drop-in modules for maglites which improve light output and efficiency.

Why the preoccupation with Maglites, as the deal posted here is for an LED Lenser torch?
That said, I used Maglites for years and liked the build quality, but I quit Maglite as soon as I tried an LED Lenser - not only well made but just so much better as a light source. I haven't used any torches from DX, but I'm more than happy with the brightness, light quality and battery life from the LED Lenser I use.

looking for a P7 but this may do, not sure about the low lumens though?

that's not true
the romison torch I have is comparable in quality to my maglite (also upgraded to LED)

except it was about £6 to buy and is much brighter than this lenser,
if it was rubbish then I would have brought a 2nd and have a third on order

brightness is less than half that of £7-10 torches from dealextreme. As an example this torch is 105 lumens compared to 220 £8 one - uniquefire branded. Build is very good. It is has on/off modes only and dont think it has flood beam option (always bit pointless anyway)....same one with several options like lo/med/hi is about £9
