Not particularly sure if this is in the right section, or even if it is techincally a deal, but I noticed that on a certain link on the seetickets site, leeds festival tickets AND early entry tickets (which in particular are going for a fair bit on ebay) are still availiable. I wanted to let the masses know about this and thought this would be the best way to do it to stop people from getting ripped off on ebay :)

Not sure why some numpty expired it? Probably in an attempt to get some before they sell out?

I haven't been to Leeds Festival since 2005-2006 (I'll never forget Fear Factory/Chromeo's performances!). But I know it's usually very tough to get tickets from a genuine retailer this close to the event...I would vote hot but can't!

As for nala's comment, I agree the lineup hasn't been great for a while. Fridays mainstage looks pretty awful! I mean, I like Arcade Fire, but can't imagine them being the highlight to my evening! I'd love to catch Rusko in the dance tent though. Damn it!

Chromeo is bloody amazing live!!

Line up doesn't wow me either, crystal castles are good, but they have NEVER completed a show everytime i have seen them. LCD soundsystem are great live but talk too much, Foals are pretty dam good! Apart from that... also the dance stage is not dance music...

or that this is RRP and not a deal perhaps?

[quote=mamboboy]Yea, aren't roots manuva hip hop? They've always tended to group any electronic act or anything you can phsyically 'dance' to in that tent, actually I think Chromeo were in it when I went, but putting roots manuva there is just silly.

Rusko has sold out a little (he's doing a collab with britney spears lol) so he'll probably play some more upbeat songs. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_rDmSWZjN64
Also Sub Focus are great live, and really should be headlining it to be honest...

Britney Spears! Shocking!! Have to say i prefer teh older stuff from Sub focus and yeah, you're right roots Manuva (who are v good) should not be in the dance tent

Ticket prices in general have skyrocketed in the past few years, especially as bands get bigger. I remember a couple of years ago I went to see Tool and was horrified at the £35 I paid for a ticket, you'll be lucky to see an arena band for less than £40 these days!
#11
Maybe returns...last year at Reading lots of people were trying to sell tickets they were unable to sell prior to the event.

Let's be honest Reading and Leeds are full of utter ****. It's mostly their first festival or the first time that they've been allowed to go somewhere without mummy and daddy so they don't know how to behave. The amount of other peoples tents I saw being light alight - without even checking if there was anyone inside or not! Plus the site is WAY too small to small to fit that amount of people especially as they keep increasing the capacity. Out of all the festivals IMO Reading and Leeds is the worst. Actually no T is, a couple of years ago I found a guy who had OD.

I think the opposite actually - it's a very decent festival that's centred on the music and has stayed relatively honest to it's roots...at least it doesn't have Kylie headlining and Prince Charles wandering around like other music festivals...:)

Last time I went to Leeds fest I think I seen 3 or 4 bands.
A festival is a festival to me, I don't really care who's on. The whole atmosphere is just unreal.

I'm more suited to something like Creamfields or Global Gathering cause I'm into electronic music. But Leeds is still an absolute bucketload of fun!

Glastonbury is THE ****. No other festival even comes close to it's awesomeness.

This guy isn't entirely wrong. Avoid Sunday night if you can, let's just put it this way - they brought in semi dressed riot police last year at Reading and plenty of fire engines. Maybe that's why tickets are so expensive.

Really? The music's excellent - but Sunday night, you have a Lord Of the Flies enactment going on.
#24
Yeah we left on the Sunday night last time. Previous times we stayed it was like a warzone.
#25
yea sorry dude it was for the early bird tickets as mate has tickets and wants to go on the thursday
#26
Behave. How can u say that with the last years line up featuring radiohead and 'them crooked vultures' while this year has the legends Queen of Stone age and Blink 182..

You dont have to like all the bands at a festival!!!!!!!
how about not slagging off the ones others might like! its not a "whats your opinion on these bands" thread!!
#28
Early bird tickets are a bit of a con, last year there were about 15,00ish early birds.

How is getting concert tickets for face value a good deal?:|
#30
Blimey! A music festival that doesn't charge the earth for a Camper.
Shame I'm too old for this. Isle of Wight is more my age group these days it appears.

Because it's not ebay! The official leeds site is claiming these to be sold out and has been for months, when evidently they arn't! Just trying to make people aware so they don't just see on the site SOLD OUT then resort straight to ebay :) it's more of an awareness thing than a deal!
#32
blink182 headliners....ha!

modest mouse will steal the show, Isaac Brock is the man.
#33
People laugh at Blink headlining but think about Leeds and Readings audience, and think about probably the most well known pop-punk band in the world that said audience grew up listening to; Blink. Now think about the fact that Blink have just reunited and haven't played a show over here in YEAAAARRSS...

PERFECT headliners.

Guns n Roses, however...

Early Bird tickets are good. The Wednesday night is a good laugh. It's just a massive sesh in a field.
Strange waking up on the Thursday though, and you realise people have multiplied by the thousand lol.

Expired as this sold out months ago as it always does in a few hours! The sale is for an early arrival ticket still robbery at £15! But if it was a deal i'd be buying one as the Libertines are playing.
