Just been to Sainsburys and the Leffe Blonde beer 8 Pack is reduced to just £4.49 for 8 which is Half Price....

Leffe Blonde is a classic Abbey beer with smooth and well balanced fruity, warming flavours. The beer has hints of quince, gooseberry, bitter cherry and apple flavours together with hints of cloves, nutmeg and allspice. ABV 6.6%

Originally brewed by monks near Dinant, Belgium, Leffe Blonde continues to be brewed to the traditional recipe created in 1240 in the monastery. Due to a licensing agreement dating back to the early 1950's Leffe brewing activities moved to the small Belgium university town of Leuven and the Abbey still receives royalties on sales. Leffe Blonde with its distinct heritage and appealing taste is without doubt the number one among Belgian Abbey beers.

Silver Medal, 1995 World Beer Championship.
Bronze Medal, 1999 Australia International Beer awards.

Excellent find. Good beer deals are hard to find these days. Must be all that talk about cheap beer in supermarkets ruining the youth of today.
#6
even better, somebody had smashed a single bottle, so they reduced the 7 remaining to 50p each. excellent :)
#7
I notice this is not on offer in all stores. Anybody know if the Scottish stores are participating?
#8
Got mine in Birmingham and it is while stocks last

Totally agree, I worked near Frankfurt for a year and got a taste for weiss beer (Hefe). Back in the UK I survive on Hoegarden, Leffe and Hefe. Aldi recently did 500ml bottles of German Wheat Beer for 99p. I have 60 bottles in my hall :)

How anyone can drink Weiss beer is beyond me, it is disgusting!
I can drink most alcohol, beer and wine wise, don't touch spirits.
Been to Austria and Germany and cannot believe they drink Weiss, it's awful stuff.

Hot post though hope it's in my local sainsburys.

Aaah that's what im doing wrong! Seriously though, a couple of chistmas's ago I had a 24 x 500ml pack brought for me and after a few cans, I came out in really strange small rashes. It didn't stop me drinking it though....tastes too good!

Yes I lived in germany too for a time, and also holland where I could get lots of fine Belge beer and understood what swill the British drink in pubs these days. Sorry yes, my spelling is not good and its not Hoofgarden but Hoegarden I drink, amazin stuff , goes down like pop with a lemon or lime !

I also like DAS as well. Its very hard to get other belge beer.

The british are easily duped into drinking swill that claims to be belge beer or continentlal, but its actually not. I see plenty of phoney beer with french and german lables, like Grolsch and Kronemburg 1664 rubbish.

Oh yes when I was living in Germany I could drink and drink and get ******, but I never felt really bad the day after, because the beer is more pure and chemically free. I was totally ignorant until I started drinking real german beer. My continental friends used to joke how we drink beer out of buckets(pints) which says something about the respect we have for the drink.

Aldi were/still are selling Shofferhoffer for 99p/500ml, very nice, they also used to sell a French beer pack, the blond was really nice

You could be mildly allergic to gluten, or another protein in wheat, barley, rye or similar. You can get a blood test for this from your GP.
