CHEAPEST FOR THE GAME AT THE MOMENT!

* Next-generation co-op action gaming from the makers of Half-Life, Portal, Team Fortress and Counter-Strike.
* AI Director 2.0: Advanced technology dubbed "The AI Director" drove L4D's unique gameplay - customising enemy population, effects, and music, based upon the players' performance. Left 4 Dead 2 features "The AI Director 2.0" which expands the Director's ability to customise level layout, world objects, weather, and lighting to reflect different times of day.
* New melee weapons - axe, chainsaw, frying pan, baseball bat - allow you to get up close with the zombies.
* Four different Survivors. New story. New dialogue.
* More game. On day one, Left 4 Dead 2 features more co-operative campaigns, more campaigns and maps for the Versus game modes than Left 4 Dead, plus support for Survival Mode out of the box.
* Stats, rankings, and awards system drives collaborative play.

Heat added. Good price.

Just remember tho with tesco they take the money from your account at point of sale and they do not take your money upon shipping goods to you like most internet sites!!

I ordered for £26.99 for PC, a game like this will always be better on PC.. :)

voted cold - this is a must buy on a PC, not 360.

You can't be serious?

*sigh*

Heat added OP, great price.

That's a fairly silly reason to vote cold. It's a good price for the 360 version.
I.e. it's a deal for people who play games on xbox 360 and not on PC.
My PC won't handle games like this.

It's a bit like voting a deal on shoes cold, because they're size 12 and you think they'd look better on different feet.

That's a rediculous statement, that's like saying 'this isn't a good deal on a toaster since I can't microwave pasties in it'.

This is a good price for us console gamers, and lets face it, we are easily the majority these days.

Beware that Tesco charges your credit card as soon as you place your order, no matter whether the game is a pre-order. Apart from that I look forward to playing this game, the first instalment was really good fun online.

shame we cant vote to kick you... There should be a giant banner on this site stating

'ONLY VOTE COLD IF YOU CAN FIND IT CHEAPER ELSEWHERE OR A BETTER ITEM FOR THE SAME PRICE'

:x

Hot deal, and if you have been watching the commontary of the boycott in relation to the new game then this will be interesting.

HAHA. Now THAT is funny :w00t:
#15
Even though I am a bit bitter about them bringing out the second game so soon, I've bought it :)
#16
I don't know why people are so peeved about that since Valve have said they will still continue to support the first one and the sequel will be backwards compatible.
#17
What do they mean by 'backwards compatible'?
L4d is a superb game. Best multiplayer game I've ever played.
#18
I think in that players on L4D2 can host games which L4D1 players can join or something to that effect.

I was reading about it in a magazine recently.

Ordered, Left4dead was awsome. Nothing better than shooting zombies after a stressful day at work. With this one you get melee weapons. Fun Fun.

I also preordered Bioshock 2 which is also a bargin at £31.97

Yep think i'll get this for PC £26.99 from amazon, and no annual subscription to play it online plus you get customization, mods, community content etc.

Its a no brainer.

I think you forgot to include the price of upgrading your PC every few months.:-D

I used to game on a PC but gave up trying to upgrade my PC to play games. Once you pay for the Xbox it plays all the games without the hassle of graphics drivers and what video/sound card etc. Gaming on the XBOX in my opinion is way better its worth paying for the subscripition to Live, it makes it so easy to get mates together to play.

If your pc could handle the first L4D it will more than likely be able to cope with the sequel.
#26
You probably won't need a beast of a machine to run this, but PC gaming is still on it's last legs.

I'm sure they'll jump right on that rather than develop the sequel :whistling:

'Continue to support' could also mean to patch the glitches they still haven't got round to fixing.

Voted hot for price...
...but it's all horses for courses stuff. Had a gaming laptop for over a year now and it has no probs with all latest games (and my PC is three years old and has no probs).

Games are not currently pushing hardware as much as they were a few years ago.

I like PC stuff over console coz i can do other things and t'initernet stuff (like this) and watch the footy...
Consoles do have the advantage of no hassle and are cheaper (except for the games.. and playing them online)

Both platforms are good... it's just personal choice,

What glitches?

For instance the areas on some maps which you can get to in survivor mode which makes it impossible for the zombies to get to you..
Just look at the daft times people have achieved on the leaderboards

Thats the problem with survival mode, I absolutely love it but just one glitch can totally ruin a map as people can survive forever.

To be honest, this guy has a point, PC is cheaper and has more features, and valve are generally a PC software company. I would get it for PC if my laptop could run it, (would probably still use a wired xbox 360 controller though). However, as well as not having my laptop in the speediest condition, all my friends play on xbox live, so I have an xbox and the game is so team based that you NEED friends to enjoy this game.
