Not scary at all, my 10 year old plays it all the time.

And great deal for this with the DLC.

Are people aware that this is for the first game? It should have been this price as soon as the sequel came out as most of the community will likely have switched to that.

Be careful with this, if possible, don’t buy it first, when you get to the till ask if you can see the item before you buy it and they should print out a slip for you to take to the collect counter. I say this because I don't trust Argos and did the above and they brought out a normal edition of L4D, not the GOTY ed. Argos don’t do refunds on games so you have been warned.

It has an 18 certificate on the box.
#16
I think my 10 year old will enjoy this

Thanks

Why do you morons think there's a cert 18 on the box,
The media love to attack violent games like this and you people give them the ammunition they need .

Of course, you never watched a violent 18 film when you were under the age.

There's violence in everything you see - cartoons for example. I use my own discretion for games he can play and imo, compared to other 18 games, this is a tame 18 with cartoony graphics.

To appeal to 10 year olds :p

I'd find it very odd if my dad let my 10 year old brother play it, but I guess all families are different. At least it promotes teamwork...

The demographics of the PC version are slightly different but I do occasionally get teamed up with very young sounding players. They are incredibly irritating and admittedly sound rather excited about the violence. But that's just my opinion at the end of the day.

Is the single player any good.

Have the LFD 2 which I havent played yet so wondering if it is worth picking this up as well.

I'm assuming for multiplayer that everyone is playing the 2nd one.

Let's not get the child playing underage games debate going, because theres loads of evidence on either side pointing to their effect on kids. Studying A Level Psychology, it's obvious that media has a big impact on children but most children have the intelligence to realise what there doing in game isn't real and shouldn't be replicated. Some don't however and thats where we get our John Venables who watched 'Child's Play 3' and ended up torturing and murdering a toddler.

No, just the free one. And adding versus to maps that didn't have it. All freely downloadable on the xbox marketplace.

Valve wanted to do lots more free DLC for the xbox but Microshaft wouldn't let them.

Hopefully the Steam movement on to PS3 will make them reconsider. Valve are particularly generous when it comes to patches and free updates on the PC.

I love the original maps and want them officially integrated into the sequel, however I do find that the additions make it a superior game (special infected abilities/melee).

I used to play survival on the original and now spend 100% of my time on versus in the sequel.
Can't believe i've spent 512 hours playing it since Nov... :|

out of stock for me, good for those who can get it

That's typical of Microsoft, grabbing 8astards
