Left 4 Dead (Xbox 360) £29.97 @ Amazon

First submission. This seems at least £3 cheaper than elsewhere. It's possible that other sites may now follow suit. Although it should be great, I've read that it's only about four or five hours' long, albeit with great replayability.

Thanks Ordered!!
#2
Wow, good find! Did you search for ages to find it?
#3
Nice - thanks - order cancelled at Game and ordered here
#4
Good deal, but if you use Quidco and the GAME £3 voucher it will still be slightly cheaper from them than from Amazon.
#5
is this gonna be any good?
#6
looking at gameplay trailers it looks a bit full of mayhem lol, the graphics leave a lot to be desired.
#7
From the trailers seems it will get a bit repitative after the first play. I know they are using a new AI system but all that seems to go is shoot, shoot and shoot. I may be wrong (i hope so cuz i love the idea)... but still a great deal and voted hot

Good graphics don't make a good game.
#9
Good price, looks like the supermarkets are having an effect on pricing. :)

^ yep

looks back at Crysis Warhead - played it for all of 5mins & uninstalled it.

- hopefully sub £30 becomes the normal price for games :)

Is this 360 exclusive?
#12
Its on PC as well
#13
not on PS3 then, meh
#14
No PS3 yet, but its been hinted that a conversion may be in the works (they denied it, then didn't, then said they were considering it, etc) same way they did with The Orange Box (ie, handled by a seperate developer).

Either way, looks like a top game - replayability is the key here so the shortness of the game is irrelevant, the AI Director apparently ensures each playthrough happens differently.

99% certain this is online multiplayer only guys! :)

Victory for the 1%! The campaign can be played online or offline with the AI taking control of the other squad members. 360 version has split-screen co-op as well.
#16
Its been confirmed this wont be comming to the ps3. Its another 360 / pc exclusive.

I got early access to the demo comming out next week on Live. Playing it last night its brilliant especially playing online co op with 3 mates.

Split screen on the 360 AND you most certainly can play it offline with computer controlled AI (are awesome) You can even sit out the online game for a bit with you mates while you take a break and have the computer take over the roll of your character.

This is going to be one of the best games of the year. THis is an excellen price. Canceled my shopto order @ £37.99

Actually I just worked it out (as I already ordered from GAME with £3 code and Quidco) and this amazon one works out at 6p cheaper. Although I do trust GAME with getting it to me on release day.

Excellent deal, thank you.
#22
Excellent deal. This is developed by the same people who did Half Life, Portal, Team Fortress etc... How can it fail?
#23
It wont fail its brilliant. Check the demo.
#24
£19.97 on the PC
#25
I've put my order in ! I used to prefer games on the PC but since I've got into Xbox live and bought a decent TV I find games so much more fun on the 360 !
#26
Great spot. Heat and rep added.
#27
The demo is now available on x-box live

Not sure how you worked it out robster113, but I think you're still going to have the better deal with GAME.
They have it for £35.99
With £3 voucher that will be £32.99
9% Quidco will make it £30.02
Finally the Reward points (calculated on the pre-Quidco, post-voucher price, and doubled for a pre-order to give you 660 points) will make it £28.37

Have I calculated something incorrectly there?

bought 2 copies for my 360s. Demo is great.

no recoil means keeping the automatic guns aimed at head height gives loads of headshots when they swarm in. slow reload kind of addresses the issue but if you work a team (aim of the game!) and take it in turns to mow them down its not too difficult deal with swarms.

The reviews are just coming in, I loved the demo and it seems the critics love it too

#33
