That L4D bundle price is amazing. **bought**
#4
Great price. Shame I already have L4D2 on Steam. :)
#5
Molotov hot!
#6
Darn. I was just about to post this.
Also - for all of you who own EITHER the first or second game, there is new free DLC on the PC!
#7
I have both games. What's a DLC?
#8
Holly smokes! Truly amazing price, it's almost an insult.
The next installment of DLC is also due today (free for PC) :)

You will also be entitled to use this PC version on a Mac fairly soon.
#9
Was released for Mac today according to a number of articles!
#10
The DLC is currently downloading VERY slowly. Can't wait.

It was delayed... :(
Hopefully in time for Halloween according to the blog.

Still going to get my friend to buy it now so he can team up when he buys his new Mac.

DLC - extra maps and stuff.
It's free on the PC.
And for the first game too!
#13
Almost as cheap as the DLC (only!) on the xbox.
#14
How do you get the DLC's ? Does not show up for me when I look in Downloads ?
Anyone up for a game add me...Same name as here.....WheresMeNuts

Thanks for this... Played the original a few times, but never actually owned either so grabbed the pack for 7 quid.

Heated!

*EDIT Just a shame the download servers are busy atm. :(

Change your download region in Steam settings. I tried a few and now i'm getting a 'slightly' more respectable 250-400kb/s.

The update is released, I downloaded it earlier.
#21
smokin hot. Nearly bought LFD2 today for £10 on its own!! Cheers

I think its released today for Mac, isn't it the Mac version of L4D (1) thats been delayed?

hmpf, if only i could get mine to download - play L4D2 almost every day (except tonight of course!) :(

Fab Deal !!! See you all on there somewhere :)
#25
quality games. Paid £25 for l4d2 on release and it still worth that imo. free dlc on PC is a sweet deal too, plus custom maps. this is in every sense a PC game and its console counterpart is half as good.
#26
thanks just bought it for the mac awesome value thanks
#27
Hot hot hot. OUCH

This might sound silly but never used Steam before. Can you play the games offline without having to be logged into Steam itself? I.e. if you have no internet access. Thanks.

Funny you should say that because the other day TalkTalk was down & I was going to play this game off-line & then noticed it only allows you to play on-line.

Thanks mate. Tried again ten minutes later and all downloading now. :D Speeds all over the place but doing about 1mb/s on each atm, so won't complain.

Should say thats according to google, as still downloading here myself and tbh game like this is made to be played against fellow Homesapiens. You do have to be online with Steam to set it to offline mode tho, if that makes sense.. Hence why Mr Nuts got nowhere when his bb died.

Couldn't even get the UK servers to start, annoyingly it's usually closer to 2mb/s.

Awesome, I just hope my MacBook Pro doesn't have trouble running it. Specs wise, it's fine, it's actually the best model available (i7 processor, 4GB RAM, NVidia 330M GPU with 512MB dedicated RAM). It just tends to get very hot, and the fans very loud, when I play any games on it.

Worth a punt for £5 though, voted hot!

Great price. I just bought L4D & L4D2 as a Steam Gift for my son's Birthday for a total of £7.81 in the Bundle Deal. ;)
