One of the finest albums of the last 20 years
Leftfield consists of Paul Daley and Neil Barnes, two London percussionists-turned-DJs who tore up London's underground "progressive house" scene in the late '80s and early '90s with their early singles. In 1995 they released LEFTISM, which has been hailed as no less than the greatest dance record of all time. In the ensuing years, the duo were much sought-after as remix artists, offering their talents to the likes of Bowie and U2. The long-awaited RHYTHM & STEALTH (1999) proved that some things are worth waiting for.

Probably one of my favorite albums EVER.

I have a framed poster of this album in my living room from 1995.

ETA - it's just a shame they didn't release this as the 2 Disc special edition which has the remixes included on disc 2. Currently retailing for £9.99.

Seems we are alone in our appreciation of this awesome album judging by the cold votes. Philistines eh?:p:thinking:

i hear ya brothers. classic album, good price.

I'm tempted to buy it just for the funky pakaging, but wouldn't be very carbon friendly due to the emissions to post it to me as i already have it.

No, another one here, I loved this album, however was somewhat not fussed with the followup in "Rhythm And Stealth"

Makes me laugh about the eco blurb with it though, like powering up a pc every time you want to view the album art helps! How about printing it on recycled paper.

I have the eco unfriendly version from the mid 90s, classic CD..fantastic vocal contributions by Toni Halliday on "Original" and John Lydon on "Open Up" and not to forget Afrika Bambaataa the godfather of hip hop.

Great album, not very eco friendly though considering the amount of Watts consumed by my Sub to enjoy this album properly ;-)
