Similar to the Marks and Spencer and Post Office Life Insurance deals through quidco.

You sign up for a short term life insurance policy and after 3 premiums quidco cashback of £80 is paid.

The minimum monthly premium is £6, you cannot chose the premium it works it out for you based on how much you want to be insured for and for how long. I have taken this insurance out for myself and my other half and am paying £6.89 per month for mine. Once the cashback appears I will cancel the direct debit. I have the policy in front of me and it clearly says that if a premium is not paid within 30 days of its due date then the policy will lapse.

Brilliant thanks!

One one hand this is great - on another I can't but help think that the more people abuse these Quidco deals - the less we will see offers of this nature.

I took out this policy (a joint one) back in January and it didn't track. I submitted and enquiry that was supposedly successful but only paid £5. I'm still fighting through Quidco for my £80. Just a bit of a warning in case it happens to someone else.
#4
Quidco tracked for both the policy's that I have taken out within an hour at the full £80, so looking good so far.
#5
Just remember that this is not an 'automatic acceptance' policy, and that various medical conditions will cause further investigation and possibly refusal (which could stop you taking out other policies in the future).

On a brighter note, smoking cannabis seems to be perfectly acceptable to this company. Roll on.
#6
how much cover and cover length should i put?
#7
"Our minimum premium is £6 per month. You will need to increase the amount of cover and/or length of term in order to meet this. "
lol
#8
"Life cover required: £133,250 and you want the cover to last for 5 years. Plus: Terminal Illness Cover at no extra charge." gives me £6 month
#9
if i put the length to 5 years i can still cancel after month 3 right?

Yep

Just done one for me and one for 'The Lady'.

£160 cashback for £36 outlay. Cant be bad! :-D
#11
Ta, heat added. Did yours all get confirmed straight away? Mine said something about underwriting being checked and needing to sign a form before policy would be accepted.
#12
so if i sign-up 10 times (for my extended family of course), pay £60 a month, i get £800 from quidco in 3 months, £620 profit... lol if only...

Can you do this with the same quidco account?
#14
In these hard times you could take out a 200k policy on the missus then bump her off :whistling:

Voila..... no debts and a life of lavish money wasting luxury as a single man

No.

Not recommended, against Quidco rules.

Why? separate quidco accounts of course so that would bring profit to only £575 hmmm :-D

Fully agree - I obtain quidco on 'bought' items and not through any loop-hole. Turning this down.

But Legal & General must be aware of the motive of many QUIDCO members, and are effectively gambling that enough will either want life cover, or forget to cancel, to make it worthwhile offering £80.

Agreed. I'm not even sure that this constitutes a "hot deal".

So many people on here must apply purely for the quidco, and not because they need the cover
#22
I am going to give this ago. Worth a gamble. If it doesn't track I will cancel the Direct debit. We have a 30 day cooling off period anyway don't we?

Dropped amount to £75000 and now £6.03, applied!!
#27
This doesnt mean we need to do the full 5 years payments, does it?

C3 Premiums are payable up to, but not including, the Expiry Date during the life time of the life assured.

According to my T&C's C4 is also relevant which basically say's if you don't pay then they cancel the policy 30 days later.

#33
Thanks OP, tracked. HOT!
#34
this will snowball and no one will get this cash back due to the increased amount of policys through the quidco affiliate coding.
#35
cool:) just got it for exactly £6 a month:)

head and rep added:)
#36
It says all done pending consent form, is there something else I should be sending?

have noticed not as many decent deals on quidco recently, in particular car insurance, got £100 last year looking at £50 at best this year :x
#37
woo hoo, just signed up. Thanks for this

I work for Legal and General and this is a very good offer but be careful as L&G will claw back commission for policies that do not meet certain criteria. Although this wouldnt directly affect you it could affect quidco as they will be the lead for the commission payment
#39
Excellent!! Mine came at £6.15
Fingers crossed it tracks ok now lol

Mine has tracked now. Within the hour.
