That's a more reasonable price, still expensive but pretty much the US price isn't it?

I imagine this thing might actually end up worth a fair bit... Already sold out in the US. Then again who knows with these things.

Short term, maybe. But one of the advantages of old age is that you know, 5 - 10 years down the line, 99% of these special, collector's, limited, etc. editions end up cheaper or worse, landfill.

Still - it does look nice!

Phew! Glad this has dropped a bit! £64 was a little too much to stomach.

£42 is way too much. Jeez, I remember getting the boxset for about £55! (6x hardbacks)

Zelda collectors editions are in the 1%. Look at the link between worlds guide on eBay for instance.

That's pretty badly damaged and most importantly isn't sealed!

Yep, pretty much. The US $48.99 is slightly cheaper, but adding shipping into the equation makes this the cheaper option for shipping to the UK. I'm keeping both on order for now, in case of future price drops, though I doubt that there will be much further movement.

so the only point in buying it is for investment? You can buy bonds or shares that do that

£99 and sold. Sealed of course. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/162275015770

Fair enough. Although, you have to say, what with all the BotW hype, now is probably the worst time to buy Zelda collectibles. And conversely, the best time to sell.
#15
Page is throwing up a 404 error now. Could have already sold out. My order is still showing in my account so hoping it's not affected!
#16
Actually scrap that. The listing seems to have moved to another page and has increased to £59.99
#17
Book's too expensive but it bodes well for the game that the guide is chunky. :)
#18
Already sold out. Now tell me its not worth £42 lol Glad I had my pre-order in back when it was £64, hopefully I am at the front of the queue.

Amazon have done this to me multiple times with expensive comicbook collections. They list it really cheap then relist it at a normal price and cancel the original order saying the book isn't coming out anymore. I've got it ordered at £42.89 too but i'm not crossing my fingers.
#20
my pre order just got cancelled, thanks amazon for great service it came out like 2 weeks ago too and now its completely sold out

Amazon have had this in and out of stock at the full price over the last month or so, it was last in stock Saturday/Sunday last week (I ordered one and had it delivered) because I was sick of waiting for the £42 one to ship, now amazon wont honour the cancelled order @£42 or give a discount because they say it's not the same item.

WHAT????

Did you get your order or was it cancelled like mine?
#23
Yup, mine has been cancelled as well. I had this pre-ordered since it was pretty much first released on the site. Had been showing as dispatching yesterday but nothing and had emailed them to find out what was going on. Replied with a complaint. Amazon need to be better with their stock system :|

On chat last week I asked them why my order still hadn't been dispatched despite it being in stock @ £59.99 - their reply.. 'your pre order will be sent as promised and you will rec it on 24 April. I have checked with leadership and we are not prepared to able to give a discount on an item that you ordered afterwards as it was determined it was not the same item
Your first order was for the standard Zelda version
and your 2nd order was for the deluxe'

It's an absolute joke. I'm so **** off. I can't even buy it from GAME now as it's sold out there too. People who ordered this early have been penalised. I thought it was funny when they changed the page of the listing. Amazon have really **** up this time (_;)

Add me to those incensed at Amazon UK right now... I even had another order in over at Amazon.com when it looked like I'd end up with both being fulfilled.

I'd have paid the full £60 if that was the asking price... but I can't justify the £100 now being charged by resellers. :(

The thing that's really, REALLY annoyed me is that they had it in stock all along.

I'm just glad I actually have one (I paid £59.99 from Amazon as I didn't think my order was going to ship) and it's a beautiful MASSIVE guide. The included map is absolutely HUUUUUGE

I actually got mine from Amazon for £42, it arrived last week. But previous from that I spoke to Amazon and they said I wouldn't get it and it would be cancelled as it's the wrong ISBN number. So I just left it in my orders. I did purchase the guide from GAME a week before for £60 but then last week got an email from Amazon saying my guide has been dispatched, so I just returned my guide to game. Don't really understand how amazon decided to send mine and not to anyone else?

Used Live Chat last night and didn't really get anywhere. Got an apology and £5 gesture of goodwill. I was told if they somehow do manage to source more copies from another supplier then I'll be contacted by them to make a purchase but I'm not holding my breath.

Amazon have really dropped the ball here - especially as they made their mistake so blatant.

Just google Amazon Live Chat and one of the links will take you to the page on the website. Describe the situation and you'll get some form of goodwill usually

I wouldn't expect Royal Mail to be involved with a courier delivery from Amazon US - and even if they were, I don't see any reason why they'd levy additional charges.

£45.06 - that'll do for me! Thanks guys for the heads up. So in the end didn't spend too much more than the original deal :)
