Isn't it still in stock at ShopTo? That's slightly cheaper.

Edit: It is. http://www.shopto.net/video-games/switch/SWZE01-the-legend-of-zelda-breath-of-the-wild-special-edition

Now that I remember, this isn't too bad of a deal if you have vouchers to use (or buy through Zeek).

I don't get the cold votes for this box set at £80.

- It's £10 less than RRP (or if not RRP the price set at most other major retailers)
- It's worse than the US 'Master Edition' but that costs $129.99 (~ £106) and we still get the crown jewel of the box set: the Master Sword of Resurrection. In comparison the US have a $99.99 (~£82) Special Edition without the Master Sword.
- There are plenty of worse box sets that have launched for PS4/XB1 over the years that are £90 and beyond (way beyond in some cases)

I can only assume it's blind Switch cold voting on this one. Yes I'm disappointed with the overall Switch pricing but this set is beautiful and reasonably priced at £80.

Very little point posting Switch deals at the moment. People that either didn't want one in the first place, don't like Nintendo or who have had an aneurysm that Nintendo revealed that it would cost pretty much what everyone thought it would I'll vote cold without a blink.

My suspicion is that the games will get a lot cheaper closer to launch anyway. This is an absolutely fine deal though. It'll be impossible to get at this price in the future.

It can be a strange site sometimes. Sometimes you may see a deal go cold and then someone else post that same deal but gets the heat. £10 is a nice saving. But maybe it could be going cold due to the price still being a bit high. £60 for the game and £20 (£30 for the RRP) for the sword statue. So the game itself would need to be cheaper around £40 or less with an RRP at £50 like the other consoles. But anyway, it is what it is and I give it heat for the £10 saving as that is the best we have right now.

Guys, remember the switch is region free so if you want the master collection you can just import it without any risks. I get nintendo are out pricing themselves but they make great games and people just blindly give them a bad name for trying new things. we had the wii and then sony and xbox reacted with kinect and move. wii u the xbox and Sony looked at smart phone integration. Nintendo still have fresh ideas instead of COD 20 black specials ops in space with better graphics and rubbish story. I love my xbone and ps4 but nintendo will always have a place in my heart because their IP are second to none.....name me other brands which have had the history Mario, zelda and metroid have had?

Pretty sure that the concept of "region free" in recent times was ripped off whole sale from the likes of Sony and MS... Not to mention a unified account system, paid for online subscription, and "free games" as part of that service.

Also, and whilst I'm not a fan of COD, this year's game has been commended for it's campaign - not least because Activision (who are the publisher) hired people from Naughty Dog (you know, the makers behind award winning games such as the story-heavy TLOU and Uncharted). Unlike Nintendo who have often repackaged the same storyline in multiple Mario, Zelda, and Metroid games. Oh, and for your information, Miyamoto has often argued for Nintendo's games to have less emphasis on story.

Just saying...

When do Argos take money?

Would like to know this as well, if at dispatch i'll pre-order Mario Kart and 1 2 Switch :)
#12
Gonna guess this is cheaper because they take payment straight away?

Heat, good price. I pre-ordered from Nintendo store free t shirt 8% tcb, works out only a few quid more for the t shirt and they don't take payment til dispatch.

The Europe release still hasn't been confirmed for Zelda yet due to localisation issues as far as I'm aware.

March 3rd for USA and Japan but estimated June date for Europe.

Have they confirmed a Euro March release in the past 24hrs?

Tweeted them and asked, unfortunately it's on order unless bought with an argos card.

No idea where you're getting this from, it's March 3rd worldwide. Check Nintendo UK's website for confirmation.

Different people like different things?

I'd much rather the US Special Edition. The statue looks like cheap plastic. Where as I'd actually use a Switch case.

That's an annoyance with some retailers charging at checkout but with Argos you can cancel the order at anytime and it'll be refunded back. Always pay through Paypal to be safe.

Nintendo of Europe confirmed yesterday that BotW will be coming over here on 3rd March.

If you search on here you will see that special "collectors" editions always get voted cold unless the price is less than/same as the standard edition, since most people do not want to pay extra for the crappy DLC/guides/comics/stickers/plastic model and other such guff that they include in these sorts of box sets.

Cheers for point that out, turns out i'm a Gold member (Somehow) so picked it up for just over £75.

I was offered one when I made my preorder and refused because I don't see the point of it tbh. I think a lot of people are thinking the same right now and the game is what we want not a £30 or so piece of plastic that will sit on a shelf or worse stay in the box.
#28
If it came with that nice Sheika case for the Switch like the US limited edition comes with I'd bite.
#29
it would be worth it for like 70 but not 80, the game is 40 plus 20 for the figure and 10 for the soundtrack

Not a problem, you're welcome. You managed to read my comment despite you asking a question that had been answered twice in the 30 posts on this thread so you seem to be on the right track in taking on board my "valuable insight".
