Am I the only person who realises what this dungeon is? There was a secret dungeon in TP called the 'Cave of Ordeals' which was out in the desert, you fell through a hole in the sand. You fought increasingly more difficult enemies the deeper you went, it was like a challenge level. Nintendo have just renamed it 'Cave of Shadows' by the sounds of it and made it easier to access by having an Amiibo unlock it. I thought more people knew about this..

I pre-ordered the LE version from Amazon from the as soon as it was available.
It shows as £35.85 with their lowest price guarantee.
I always do this, it costs nothing and you can cancel right up until they dispatch.

    Currently price £42.99

I thought like that, except I got bored replaying wind waker. This game also has an amibo only dungeon which I consider a massive deal breaker (doesn't matter how small/unnecessary the dungeon is)

I'll be waiting to see what the amiibo locked content is like before I buy... If it's small then no big deal, if it's a full fat dungeon then they can forget it. And can any Zelda themed amiibo open it - this has not been confirmed either way.

I've still got TP from Wii launch day if I really want to play it. Nintendo haven't 'rehashed' many games on Wii U, but with backwards compatibility I don't see the point in re-releasing something from the previous generation.

It has been confirmed by Nintendo a while back.

Wolf link amiibo is for the dungeon as it stores the speed run time in the form of how many hearts you ended the dungeon with on the amiibo. Plus it does something in the new game out later this year.

The other amiibos do different things like refill hearts, refill arrows and makes the game harder

New dungeon doesn't impact the game in anyway at all. It's a trial dungeon where you just see how well u can complete it without dying. They have taken nothing from the game or added anything required, just a bonus for owning the amiibo

Currently it's a bit like a one area only cave of trials as Wolf Link that saves to the TP Amiibo so you can try and beat your high score and thats it.
    Zelda/Sheik - Replenshies your hearts
Ganondorf - On the fly you take double damage
Link/Young Link - Replenshies your arrows

In the case of the others for certain, they are a once a day effect. They may announce something else later but other than the TP Amiibo getting a new weapon for Midna in Hyrule Warriors, we don't know of anything else.

Oh yeah, I forgot they confirmed the hearts and arrows etc last week!

Don't know what the actual Cave of Shadows is, and how much content that is. I'm just sceptical, as getting the right balance of rewarding people for having the amiibo and not penalising those without the amiibo is tricky - and I think Nintendo have struggled with it.

I'm a huge Nintendo fan and Zelda is my favourite series, but I haven't bought a single Amiibo, and am unlikely to start now. I bought the Wind Waker LE, so might still plump for the Twilight Princess LE if I decide to go for it!

What's the best current price on the limited edition as I'm in two minds on that or stick with the standard

Want to know this as well. I want the Amiibo, but I don't want to spend £45.

I haven't seen anyone say it's the Cave of Ordeals. That makes sense! In which case I don't care too much about not having it.

I'd like to get this for a bit less really. £25 or £40ish for the LE.

    That's a bit unfair...it's actually a rehash of a rehash!

If you own the original wii or gamecube game you can run it on the dolphin emulator I think with improved textures, higher resolution and better frame rates and possibly in 3D.

Visually its not a very appealing game I think. Looks dated nowadays and doesn't have the beautiful graphics of windwaker.

Find it really hard to vote hot or cold on this kind of deal as twilight princess has been around for almost 10 years and now it's back on another platform for the same money. Not voted either way.

DigitalFoundry did a comparison video against the Wii version, definitely a moment of the WiiU version looking like the way you remember the original looking. The difference is huge, from 480p to 1080p and improved textures.

Just don't bother reading the comments on the video, they unfortunately attract a lot of trolls.
