Maybe the "shocking" £30 includes a donation towards the Science Museum though.

Hmmm, I am trying to find a radio for an 18 month old obsessed with buttons and music - the problem I have is that they all have traditional metal ariels and I know its going to end in disaster - does anyone know if this radio has a telescopic metal ariel on this as it wasn't obvious from the photos?

He adores our Pure Oasis which has a rubber ariel, but £100 is too much to get broken, so any other suggestions (perhaps with a volume limiter ;) ) would be appreciated.

Either way, I think this is hot. H+R added.

Looks so cheap and tacky - even £4.99 would be a stretch for this

I think you mean an aerial to receive signals rather than a Shakespearian character!

If it's like most clock radios, the aerial will be a bit of wire hanging out the back. It will also only work on the mains - the battery backup will just keep the clock going.

Looks cool but not for me. A good pressie for the nephew perhaps.
