It should be noted that there is also a Dublo value pack that is priced at £29.99 which is also good value. Suitable for younger children.

Good price.

I loved to play with my lego when I was wee.
Quite hard to find a box of lego bricks without it making a certain thing like lego cars etc.

Excellent find hot

Does ToysRUs win on the ludicrously high bench-mark for free P&P at £150.00? ...and that's just 'standard' delivery!

Nice!

Yeah, same here, Lego was my favourite toy by far. I had noticed, 40 odd years later, that it is quite tricky to buy just a big box of basic bricks, as you say mostly custom models, and a huge amount of them. The bricks were always white, red or black in my day, all colours of the rainbow now!

Note - no instructions were included with ours. Bit of a pain with young kids who need a step by step guide.

Good deal with the bonus tub (worth about £9).

I can't see an instructions download for this set on the Lego website either:-

http://us.service.lego.com/en-GB/BuildingInstructions/default.aspx

I checked under 'Lego Creator' brand but nothing there for this box.

I bought a smaller similar set for #1 son a couple of years back, I think there were some basic instructions even for one of these 'assortment' sets.

Don't you just love Amazon's third party reseller set-up - it's in stock at 35 quid from this seller, still on amazon:-

I may have to order one... for myself!!
There is no age limit when it comes to Lego.

Yep, my former boss's brother is in his thirties and makes a living making Lego models / sculptures for corporate clients and suchlike.

Instructions for lego! Never had it in my day and my sons don't need it now, just add imagination!

Are you kidding? If you need instructions for lego bricks then you aren't going to be able to read the instructions anyhow (_;)
#33
Nice find, I'll get one this weekend. (heat added)

Blasphemy!

There's a reason Mega Bloks are cheaper than Lego, the carrier bag you take them home in will be better quality plastic!
#36
I'm not going to vote either way as i have bought the set in tesco for my son for christmas but i am thinking of buying this to go with it, the megabloks set has over 500 pieces for £15. For a 5yr old they won't notice the difference.

Care to explain how 500 pieces is twice as many as 1021 pieces?

How do you reserve one? I couldn't see the option on the website?

Or, did you call a store?

Secondly, if you buy in store, do you get the bonus tub too?
