Wheres the deal when it's at cost price?!

Where's the deal?? On Ebay people selling them for £350+, so from an original store, it's the best price. Show us cheaper...

(to the music of Taylor Swift, Shake it off). understand its not much of a deal. posted as it's just released and some people will want to know that. Also it sells for more on ebay too. but it does look amazing and ordered one this morning to build with my son.

Wrong forum. HUKD is for posting deals, not news. Voting cold does not mean hate... just informing others who are not so well verse with Lego that this is NOT a deal as it's RRP.

Sell on ebay for more? Doubt it will happen for a few years yet...

Enjoy building it though. It looks amazing. Not sure I have that much money spare to buy it...

it that true?

Yes, LEPIN are releasing a similar set next month. LEPIN is LEGO's low cost subsidiary in China mainly for third World markets. This is why LEGO seem to do nothing about it. Actually LEPIN quality is slightly better than LEGO as it's made in a new factory with better quality control. I now only buy LEPIN. The Town Hall is better than LEGO's version!

Genuinely curious what your source is for LEPIN being owned by LEGO?

Can you show me the proof of that?
Fairly sure lepin is a dodgy Chinese knock off which is possibly made with toxic substances as there will be no quality control whatsoever.
Furthermore the box art with regard to naming the sets is completely wrong. They choose not to use the likes of 'star wars' etc for a reason.....if it was a genuine licensed subsidiary then copyright wouldn't be an issue!

It's like all things, fakes are everywhere but don't think you're buying anything other than a fake. I have been looking at the lepin helicarrier as I can't justify 300 quid on a toy for me but I'm under no illusion as to what I'm buying!

I have seen several people say that LEGO would have sued LEPIN if they weren't related. I think this is a very tenuous connection, especially if you consider what China's intellectual property enforcement is like.

That's like saying everyone who has ever streamed a video or Downloaded a song illegally that they now own it because they haven't been sued.
Sometimes it's more hassle and costly than its worth!

That settles it. It certainly didn't seem likely that they were related.
