Amazon price is £215 but tescos are running a promotion where you get an extra 1000 clubcard points with this set aswell as the 219 points you normally get so you save an extra £12.19 overall making it £207 odd. But I advise you to click and collect to store because tesco don't deliver lego items wrapped very well so there's about a 95% chance the box will be damaged during delivery, ( I know from personal experience being a lego collector who packages lego best ) and tesco and asda are by far the worst so at least if you click and collect to store should be fine that way and it's the only time I use them now to save complaining or sending back sack damaged goods. But act fast as the extra 1000 points deal only lasts for a few more days. Hot in my opinion though.

Hot only because of the extra points and Quidco. Otherwise ok price... sitting on the fence on this one.

I manage to get one for £100 from Asda instore. It was a one-off. Not sure if they realise the RRP is £299 not £229 as stated on the sticker.

Not voted but agreed with tesco delivery - my 42009 crane came in the lego box alone. Luckily it was in good nick but wasn't impressed!

Click and collect lego arrives in store unboxed with a sticker on it. Still good deal and hot (as a fellow collector)

Same thing happened to me with the lego Death Star I got from hamleys for £160 plus cash back from quidco. Must have been a glitch online but have to say arrived in the most secure box I have ever seen and £115 off rrp is always a bonus :)

First couple of times I ordered from tescos and had delivered boxes were not too bad but were bashed up a bit. So opted for the click and collect option so if box was bashed when I picked it up I would just ask for a replacement off the shelf if stocked of course.
Only bought online because their online prices differ to their store prices.

Asda are the same with their deliveries and toys are us can be bad too
They just put the lego basically a thick black bag with no protection
I had a ucs Star Wars set get sent out 3 times all wrecked from toys r us so I contacted the CEO and you wouldn't believe how quick I got a replacement set in an over the top packaged box about 3 times the size of the item and even got a full refund a few weeks later. But I think that was a balls up!

I can see why you are sitting on the fence on this because you could risk a damaged set from tescos if you opt for the delivery option or for £215 get a perfect delivered item from amazon

20% extra off this week Monday to Friday if you are a member of staff, or know a member of staff and can persuade them to buy it for you. Worth it as it's approx. another £40 off.

My 9398 Crawler came just in the box from Tesco with a sticker stuck on the front. Box was in good condition and sticker removed easily.....just a shame i managed to rip the box opening it lol.
