Hello.

I have just been looking through the Argos site and saw the Lego Star Destroyer with £20.00 off. I think its quite a good deal and even better with a FREE £5 voucher.

Star Wars Lego is quite RARE.

Thanks.

Adam.

Well spotted, noticed they have Mindstorms for 135 quid which is pretty good:

Anyone know of a good pack to use with the Mindstorms kit? I don't like the 'bits' that come with it, some sort of motorised vehicle I could fit the NXT to would be perfect. Looked at the bulldozer kit at Argos for 80 quid which seems not bad except it needs four motors to work rather than three.

Thanks, I think this is in store at woolworths aswell. As last weekend they had 25% off Doctor Who stuff.

only 3104 pieces!

That is for real teenagers. This http://shop.lego.com/ByTheme/Product.aspx?p=10179&cn=245 is for real men (5195 pieces and a look of wonder from your Star Wars mad son but a look of pity from your wife)

pah - only 3000? I built that in 11 hours, now this is for real men: http://shop.lego.com/ByTheme/Product.aspx?p=10179&cn=245:p

Good price btw OP, I would have bought one had I not already owned that set!

I have one of these, it's pretty cool.
Just a warning though, the base is not very sturdy and the floor will tend to drop of if you....er I mean your kids try to fly it around the living room.

Although 'only' 3417 pieces - this is a bit of a monster

Seen a built one in a lego store.

Click on the link above and then click on the technical specifications link at bottom left of the product description.
(Always nice to see companies with a sense of humour)

They also have the LEGO Star Wars Ultimate Collector's AT-ST for £44.99 at Argos too which is quite a good price - only has 1068 pieces but not a bad model

There are actually 2 versions of the Star Destroyer - this is the newer simplified 'Classic' version model 6211 with 1367 pieces.

The First version is model 10030 and is around £250 with 3104 pieces.

see here for yhe latter.

Hope this helps.

Took out my NXT kit today and found the batteries have ruptured so that's it finished....popped into Argos and picked up a new NXT kit for 135, used the ten pound voucher and bought the bulldozer and still got a five pound voucher as well. Not bad, just need to work out how to get a hold of an IR sensor that will interface the two and accessible from NXC.
