RRP of £69.99 for this set, so 33% discount isn't to be sniffed at, but with Argos and Tesco having had 3 for 2 deals (some of the sets having already been discounted, there have been better deals out there for this set if you're buying 2 others.

I feel that in the UK, Lego is becoming like DFS and other suite shops - no one ever pays RRP, the stuff is now frequently discounted.

That's why smart people no longer invest in LEGO. There's no money in it nowadays.

investing in Lego is no different to investing in other commodities. it's a long term investment with the same risk as other investments, not guaranteed and certainly not for short term gains. I recently sold 3 retired sets I've had for 2.5 years with average ROI OF 76%.

Yes at Smyths it is £45.99

Also at Smyths you can get a further £10 off if you spend over £50 on Lego (another £4.01)

Eg buy this plus a £6.99 LEGO Baseplate for a total of £42.98
