Voted Hot, as that is a bargain for anyone who knows anything about Lego.

annoyingly, this set is only about £150 on US lego site if you are lucky enough to live in america, but for us, an unjustifiable £60 more!!! still, with the hassle of getting the set from america, it is worth the £28 premium on argos site....probably one to leave sealed and put away for some years, and flog for far more?

Wow this is sooo cool my 12 year old loves lego and has all his models on display he would LOVE this but just too pricey for me even with good reduction:(

Have some heat

God almighty I would love one of them! But I think the other half would divorce me if I spent £180 on Lego. :(

Same here, we could always go halves on it...

This is the downside to being a LEGO lover - it's always pricey. I'd buy tonnes more sets if the prices were lower. I've been waiting to pick up the huge Batman car for years now, but it's stubborn with its pricing.

Wow! that's brilliant. I can't believe that they are stocking Lego Exclusives now - I only hope they get the other models I am after so I can use the Argos interest free :-D

this will only ever be cold because people on this forum resent paying more than a fiver for what is considered to be a toy....voted hot. thanks op

So is lego not a toy then?

Plenty of expensive items have received heat in the past so maybe let people make their own minds up?

Saw that at Lego Bluewater’s yesterday for £209.99. A beautiful piece of art. Good deal Heat added.

I just paid a jaw dropping £500 for The UCS Millenium Falcon, 2nd hand.....but you know what, apart from it being a work of art, i'll probably be able to sell it next year for twice the price. Certain Lego models seem a better investment than bricks & mortar (a pun there somewhere!)

No intention to troll but why is Lego so expensive? The basic bricks have not changed much since I was a kid so R&D must be minimal....

I suspect that it's all down to quality. As you say, Lego has been around for a long time but it still sells at what seems to be a high price **but** there have been imitators and where are they now and who would want a model kit from them anyway? Lego is instantly known as a name and for quality. Most people tend to keep their Lego to pass on to children in the family.

I've been hooked on it for years but won't buy it because the sheer quality of the models is addictive. I also have no space to give the models justice and even less spare cash.

Just my 3p worth. :D

Yeah, but does the US version really contain 'Tower Bridge'?... I've heard it's really London Bridge!

Never new Lego could be so expensive, I bought a huge crane a few years ago £40, One caught my eye on ebay, There were 18 bids hanging around £188, New ones peeps have tucked away are £450.... I couldn't believe it, Years ago you would sell it a boot sale or a mate for a fiver, Ebay's driving all those bargains away........

I can see this fetching very good money years to come..........

What are the pictures on the back of the box that you can turn it into once you've finished build the bridge? Bet you'd get a helicopter and car out of it.

Quite exquisite detail there, right down to Nick Cleg & David Cameron's emergency escape spacecraft beneath the Thames.(it even has the nipple Antenae)!! 8)

Do you not have the option to Order into store to collect?
#31
it does give that option, but after you enter phone number and email address, it then just says out of stock, no matter which store i select :( oh well
