Only 1 GB of ram, at that price I woulda guessed at least 2GB.

Lenovo? Has anyone used one of these before? Does seem a bit OTT with price for the spec.

This is an excellent price.

Looked at HP deal earlier but this has better screen, nice hi res.

RAM max 3GB is that because 32 bit os
I may buy if I can install 4gb

Lenovo = ex-IBM

1gb RAM costs £30 from Crucial. :)

LOL... Ever heard of IBM ;-)

Lenovo made IBM laptops and desktops for them for years then bought the rights off IBM for the Thinkpad and Netvista brandnames. basically an IBM without IBM written on it.

No quite true! IBM made IBM laptops for years and then sold them to the Chinese, aka Lenovo. ;-)

Stil not quite true. Yes IBM made IBM for many years but about 9 years ago they gave the contract to Lenovo to build IBM laptops under the IBM name for them.

A business powered machine rather than home machine.
I use a lenovo all day every day, best machine I ever had!
#11
IBM are well built laptops, but this is a bit pricey for the specifications you are getting,
#12
Can you provide a link to a similar spec laptop for less money then?

I had one from ebuyer and liked it - it had a minor fault so i returned but i'd already applied for the free ram upgrade - it took 4 months to arrive but it dropped through my door yesterday, I also have a brand new battery I got from Lenovo - both are no good to me now so if anyone wants them (1xGB Lenovo n200 Ram & 1xLenovo N200 battery) give me a PM and we can sort a dirt cheap price.

Lenovo was never ex-IBM as some un-informed people think. Lenovo always existed and produced all of the IBM hardware with an IBM badge.

This is a great bit of kit at a great price. You can easiliy drop more ram and a larger HD in should you need it.

Make sure that this comes with the Lenovo 1 year support - you make a call for support and the next day a man is knocking on your door with all the parts.
