We've been looking for a 7" tablet for a while with a quad-core processor, 16Gb, camera, microSD slot and reasonable screen.

Argos have now reduced the tablet AND if you buy before the 5th August you'll also get £40 in Argos vouchers. If you'll use the £40 vouchers at some point then the tablet will have only cost £69.99! I don't think any brand new (not refurbished) tablet can touch the spec at this price.

Don't forget cashback at Quidco 1.5%

See comment #33 for details on whether £20 or £40 in argos vouchers.

There are other offers running for the Lenovo as well where you can save money on such things as Vodafone MiFi and a cases for the tablet.

You can perform the software update which updates it to Kitkat ver 4.4.2. which is good. - added 30/07/14

Poor resolution. ..

dont think you can use the vouchers to pay as you have to pay first before receiving it :(
#7
Where's the other £20 come from as I can only see one £20 voucher for Argos included in the special offers the other two vouchers are for mifi

The £40 voucher includes the £100 spend one ...

http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Search/searchTerm/lenovo.htm

I would have thought the resolution is reasonable for a 7" tablet maybe not if it was a 10" and for £69.99 I can't find a better spec'd tablet with better resolution.

I see a red flag bottom right corner saying "includes £40 gift voucher" as soon as I follow the "Get Deal" link above?

i'm confused flas says £40 in vouchers but later on after the offers it say £20 vouchers ??
#11
Not sure about £40 the special offers related to this tab it state

4 ) Receive £20 worth of Argos Gift Vouchers when you purchase this tablet in store. Offer ends 05 August 2014.

Is it not just another £10 for the spend 100 get a tenner deal. Anyway whatever this is hot. Good find.

That's not my experience when I bought a cheapo tablet and has to return 2 due to them crashing intermittently without any problems.

Also many tablets on amazon and eBay similar spec for similar price.

I dont see anywhere on the page anythin about £40 vouchers?
#18
This is brand new though - if the £40 works out OK, then the actual tablet price looks very good. Not that it matters a great deal, but these are prettier than a Hudl too. Both good buys, Hudl has edge on specs, this is physically a nicer tablet imo.

If you absolutely love a gamble, you could also try this, for £40.

Slightly slower CPU, but slightly faster GPU and probably worse battery life. Certainly worse build quality. But £40 for a 1280x800 IPS tablet with bluetooth could be a hoot.

OK here's a heads up. We reserved one at the St Neots store and picked it up today. We got the last one and it's midnight blue. Went through the till at the reduced price of £109.99 but only one £20 voucher. I pointed to the board at the collection desk that showed £40 in vouchers for any Lenovo A series tablet and I confirmed it was on the website also.

I checked on my mobile and I couldn't find mention on the mobile website but could on the full desktop website!! Anyway manageress came over with some paperwork and it appears that they seem to have overlapped two offers. The £40 offer runs until the 5th August and another one that expires a day later for £20 which is what the tills are programmed for. Anyway the manageress accepted that the website showed £40 and her paperwork showed the same £40 offer so she provided an extra £20 voucher :)

So show them the full desktop website links I provided earlier and you should get £40 in vouchers. Sealed brand new new tablet for less than £70 with the vouchers.
#34
Also thanks to nnj10 I should get £10 credit back on Amex card.
#35
Could you buy other vouchers e.g. iTunes or Amazon with the Argos voucher or can you not do this?

Am I correct in thinking this does NOT have a GPS??

No it doesn't have GPS.

It said there was a later version of software so I did the update and now it's running 4.4.2 (Kitkat).
