very tempting - was looking at c£200 refurbed laptops at Bigpockets, so this, with win 7 included makes an attractive alternative
#3
looks like a damn good price for a new laptop to me
#4
I am tempted by this. Can anyone tell me if i bought a laptop with 3gb around the £300 mark, would there be a great difference in comparison to this one or are there many factors to consider.Need some help pls

This is confusing, The promotion date states 1st of April - 31st of May, When I clicked on the registration link I got the message below:

"Registration

Please ensure to have the following documents at hand when filling the registration form: Copy of your invoice, serial number, and your bank details.
Please note that applications may not be submitted before at least 30 days have passed since the receipt of the invoice"

Does that means you have to wait for 30 days after purchase before registring for this cash back by the time which the Cashback date would have lapsed?

Can someone tell me am wrong.

It looks like you've read it correctly. Maybe its because they dont want you buying, returning within a cooling off period, and claiming cashback in between?!

what camera does this have .3 or 1.3 cant find for sure?

Very tempting but there seems to be a number of customers having problems with cashback from Lenovo. see http://forums.lenovo.com/t5/General-Discussion/Cashback-offer-questions/td-p/329015/page/6

Think of an office...
RAM is the size of the desk, the more ram the more things you can have out
CPU is the speed that you can work at
Hard disk size is the filling cabinet ("defragging" is sorting your files into order for ease of finding them later)
Hard disk speed (5400 / 7200 rpm) is the speed at which the secutery brings you the work

so basically you a balance between all of the above :)

I guess your receipt would be dated, which would show it was purchased during the promotion and the cashback would still be valid? Could be wrong
#13
Wooo just ordered. Hopefully I'll get back the cash!!!
#14
Just ordered it! Hope I get my money back from Lenovo :D
#15
Is there really a risk of not getting the money? Pretty decent deal with the cashback.
#16
Good deal but cashback is looking little uncertain with the 30 days thing and offer running out on 31st.
#17
took ages to get cash bac. cold 4 me :(
#18
as long as cashback comes should be a very sizzling deal
#19
Initially looks a good deal, but there is too big a chance on the cash back not paying out. So..... Im out.

great deal!

Simply purchase qualifying products from a Lenovo reseller and complete the online form, providing proof of purchase after 30 days and within 60 days of the invoice date to claim your reward.

Offer expires 31st of May, so you have to wait till the offer expires before you can claim your cashback, at which point you can't claim it back because it's expired?

I think the expiry date will refer to the purchase / invoice date

Tempted to buy one. This is what it says on the cashback home page

Welcome to Lenovo Cashback
The home of the latest cashback offers available on Lenovo's industry leading range of netbooks, notebooks, desktops, workstations and servers.

Simply purchase qualifying products from a Lenovo reseller and complete the online form, providing proof of purchase after 30 days and within 60 days of the invoice date to claim your reward.

So I hope that the purchase date should be withing the promotion period. however not sure if CCL is one of Lenovo resellers.

Reading the Ts & Cs you're correct the offer expiry refers to the purchase date:-

The payout is not possible, if the participant: a) didn´t purchase a product within the respective promotion period; and/or b) failed to fill in the online application form; and/or c) didn´t submit all documents required for the participation; and/or d) made his application earlier than 30 days or later than 60 days upon purchase; and/or e) revoked the purchase contract for the product.

So if you buy on the 31st May you can claim your cashback as late as 30th July (but would be wise to post it on or soon after 30th June ;) )

I've not used cclonline before, as far as I recall. I see their delivery page says:
Delivery

Which does not fill me with confidence.

Which does not fill me with confidence.

Neither does the conflict about which OS it is. The headline says 7 Professional (which imho could make this a good buy), but when I clicked the "Specifications" tab I found it listed there as 7 Home Premium.

Not voted yet, but leaning towards hot.

Thanks OP
Have been contemplating this deal since last night, and have finally ordered
Hope the cashback doesn't turn out to be a pain
Spec is ideal for me, with the esentials such as N wireless and gigabit ethernet, and nice touches such as bluetooth and hdmi out
for £225 absolute carcking deal that will be a nice replacement for my Viking direct fujitsu special from over 2 years ago (Medion laptop mess up)..although still plenty of life left in that one for cascading down to family members ;)

So "CCL Computers" is called a "Online Retailer", rather than a "Reseller".
Buy from CCL will not entitle for cash back offer. Is that right?

Like this but cant find out if .3 or 1.3 camera.
Anyone help with this as it only says intergrated

Voted hot, and ordered. Thanks again, OP!

I'll send it back if it turns out to be Home Premium instead of Professional. I just hope their delivery policy -- all that Latin text about avoiding pain -- is not an omen.
