I am not sure why you are calling this an old celeron processor when this has just been launched a couple of weeks back. Please see this: http://ark.intel.com/products/67193/Intel-Celeron-Processor-B820-2M-Cache-1_70-GHz

Maybe I'm wrong? Isn't it this one?

The site you have mentioned seems to have got the year goofed up. The actual date is July 2012. Please see another source http://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/Celeron_Dual-Core/Intel-Mobile%20Celeron%20B820.html
The previous source I had mentioned was an official Intel site, they couldn't possibly have made such a big error as well

In which scenario are you referring? 3D rendering or general web browsing?

(you won't be impressed)
http://www.ebuyer.com/393890-asus-x54c-laptop-x54c-sx078v - bit annoyed to see it's gone up in price from yesterday but hey.
Seems like great spec/price, decent processor (people seem to agreee the i3 will be fine for most people for years to come) and Asus have a good reputation. Was going to go for one of the HPs from the HP site using the September 20% off code (SEPT20OFF) but would end up paying more for a lesser processor and although the HPs currently come with a 2-year warranty, they're apparently the worst for breaking down anyway and their customer service line is notoriously bad.
Does my ebuyer deal look good? If so I'll post it as a deal.
Edit: it's at Dabs.com for £319.99 as previously posted. Would post myself but that deal only got about 40 degrees. Why? Sorry for threadjacking, I'm new to posting on hotukdeals

How about using the Deal Requests forum instead of hijacking this thread?

So this CPU is no good for the general user is what you're saying. Complete nonsense.
My tower pc uses an E4400, this CPU is faster. Oh why am I bothering, you don't have a clue.

I don't think HP are the worst for breaking down, are they? More middling. When they sell more computers than anyone else (for the last few years at least,) they're bound to get more complaints than everyone else.
Only you know what you need out of your laptop, from my perspective this Lenovo loses too big on CPU vs your Asus (which I thought should have Intel 3000 Integrated graphics with that i3-2350M but states Integrated Intel GMA HD?)
If it was me, I'd go for this: HP m6-1050sa laptop. ;)
i am really looking after this one.... please dnt suggest any other better models...it was hard to make up mind on this one. need this for uni.
