Me too, but if i had to have a pc I'd rather one that looked like a fine machine at least, rather than the usual ugly suspects

Imitation it may be - cheap? I don't consider that to be considered 'cheap'. Lenovo are a company which generally produces great quality products (in my opinion). Also it appears to be a great designed and powerful product. and wow... <3

Looks too big to be practically compact to me, the likes of an imac is not for mobility, mines the workhorse, and then switch to ipad for traveling, moving about. But of course they cost a lot more even more when two needed, i have given up on the days of having one machine for everything, its more practical to have two very different machines, each for different purposes

that does look beautiful

I would consider it if I hadn't already bought a couple of machines recently....hmmm...I wonder...

is this any good for gaming?

Nope, it only has intergrated Intel graphics, fine for films and HD but any modern 3D games its a no go.

If you're going to buy it do it through the Nectar website for 499 nectar card points, about £2.50 worth. http://www.nectar.com/collect-online/retailer/amazon.points

Wow, that last photo really shows off how useful the tilt is!! you can even eat your dinner off it!!!

Anyone see if it has ability to record from video input?

wow - very nice looking, I wish it came in an i5 version, I have an iMac (late 2009 model with 4gb ddr3) and it can render full 1080p HD files but cant play it smoothly :/

can this both render and play 1080p files?
#29
iMac all the way for me, this is not going to be anywhere near as good, half the price though. Good price for what it is. Hot deal.

Yes but with limitation

This is not, in any way, intended for gaming. Zola, integrated graphics represent the lowest in gaming ability you can purchase. You need to look at dedicated cards if you want to game within any reason, probably best looking at a proper tower machine so there is the possibility for upgrading in the future.

How so? Any chance you can elaborate beyond a silly little (obviously) completely ignorant generic phrase?
#35
would the same computer but with a Intel Core i5-430M 2.26GHz CPU be worth £100 more?

Erm, yeah, but you'd still be plugging in a power cable etc somehow on a plane, at which point you might as well be taking a laptop with you, and they won't need a massive power supply all the time!

Now if it only had an ORANGE logo on it, or maybe a PEAR... no wait... a BANANA shaped logo and I would buy this right now. Can't have too many apples going around what with their Itoonesz softwares with the wifis.
