Very nice, but be aware that the A700 is trading looks and the touchscreen for performance. In Lenovo ideaCenter land, the 'A' means general computing, the 'B' means gaming, and the Lenovo B500 is probably a better bet for gamers and photo editing/graphics applications (faster processor and graphics) but it doesnt have a touchscreen. Same price on Amazon;

In contrast, the a700 uses a pretty slow i3 processor (its designed for laptops, hence the 'M' for 'mobile and the slower than normal clock speed.. desktop i3-530s tend to run closer to the 3Ghz mark) and a mobile graphics card (tend to run 30% slower than the same desktop full version).

Of course, you could probably build a faster box yourself than either the A700 or B500, but thats not really the point with the AIO (all in one) designs - they are something that is meant to look cool in a living room.

Doesnt look like this can be mounted on a wall bracket. Doesnt this leave the screen somewhat low and at a rather uncomfortable angle to view?

whats so special about macs? apart from the fact that apple spend stupid amounts of money promoting their products
Strangely reassuring that the PC vs Mac debate rages on unabated.
AIO (all in one)

Yet another acronym for the self respecting IT Technician to learn...

Hot deal, Lenovo makes decent quality gear too!
what is better for general use and also gaming (total war's, starcraft2, civ5) lenovo ideacentre a700 or b310?
Nice looking, decent enough machine. Hot
Oh my god, that looks seriously nice. I don't need one but i am very very tempted!

If you don't need it, save yourself £600 'cos as surely as night follows day, this sort of kit will either be cheaper or better spec'd for the same money later on when you might need one.

So bloody tempting ! any got any recomendations sub £500 ?
Now showing: Usually dispatched within 1 - 3 months.

Neither; look at my previous post about the B500. Same price as the A700, but for gaming. No touchscreen though, and an... ahem... more funky design.
I'd be interested to know a bit more about these. In particular, I'd imagine they're quite noisy.... Or hot!
Forget it buy a mac instead

Yey, buy a mac instead. Then your printer won't work, your router won't work. Your scanner is not compatible. The software with your digital camera.......yes, you guessed it, NOT COMPATIBLE. Your mp3 player......not compatible, UNLESS it has an "i" at the start of the name.

Don't want to use the **** keyboard/mouse that comes with a mac? Buy Logitech input devices.......oh wait, they probably won't work!
Censorship is a weird thing isn't it. Is there anyone who is deeply offended by mild swear words? I wonder if faeces will be replaced with ****?
