oh no oO i only brought a pair of Bose earphones which where perfect had no problems with them

You brought them to where? I don't understand your comment.

Very are fine if you get a good product and have no problems. But the moment you have an issue whether it be delivery or product related, you might as well go bang your head against a wall than speak to Very. Awful customer services.

They might have bad rep but at least they are British so you should be protected rather than overseas which can take months to sort out.

Same for:

https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/www.johnlewis.com

I am pretty sure most people wouldn't think twice of buying from johnlewis too. People only tend to review somewhere when they have something bad to say. There is no incentive to find a website and post a positive review, that is why some sites tend to offer competitions for reviews.

Come on, you know full well that if you have to ask where they brought them from/to, the point of your grammatical comment will be completely lost on the person. :D

It's a lost cause I'm afraid

As long as you are meeting your expectations with the deal no issues with very here. Most of the deals require you to take finance but can usually pay it off in 30 days if you want too.

noddy question...the process looks old gen...does it still cut it in today's world?

Been with Very for 2 years, have bought loads including high end tv's, laptops and mobile phones, never had even 1 problem.

lol wut?
Good price, but a bit random to have a processor of that generation in a new laptop. I'd be a little concerned about the quality of the rest of the components.

Thanks - bought in purple for same price

For general computing (web browsing, word processing etc) it would be fine and the RAM/HDD will be more of a limitation than the processor, but it won't cut the mustard for more intense multi-tasking/computing.

worst company ever waited weeks and weeks for denby dishes that I paid up front for and never arrived. . If you've got the patience of a saint and not bothered if you ever get the laptop then go for it what have you got to loose except a few annoying chase up emails you will probably have to write.

anyone got any alternatives from other suppliers in the same price range?

Get ready for "I got one on black Friday for £200" or "You can pick up an i7 laptop wth 2TB SSD on ebay for same sort of price" or "Ummm I can't"

You are forgetting the part where they link a first gen i7 with a battery that lasts 15 mins and a 12" screen.

I'm sorry, I have no idea what you mean! I hope you are not insinuating that I am acting oblivious in order to point out a grammatical error? :{

Ok, you got me.

Green one is £249.99 now and there is also 10% credit back to your very account.
SAVE20 code also gives you £20.00 credit to Very account.

Code SAVE20 drops price to £233.98 which means that 10% computing offer from Very might not track (must spend £249.00 or more for that).

I've personally never ever had an issue with Very.

Always use their Take 3 payment option when a £20 off £50 voucher comes along

Every time a laptopwith a similar spec appears on here there are always criticisms about the price and screen resolution. However, no one posts any links to these mythical i3 laptops with full HD screens. I've spent the last week looking for a similar spec laptop and before this, the best I could find from a decent source was this Acer

http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/computing/laptops/laptops/acer-aspire-e5-475-14-laptop-grey-10157735-pdt.html

This has a better processor and double the RAM. Also, I would hope that the slightly smaller screen size might improve the screen. If anybody can post a better deal I would be really grateful.

I would rather have this laptop for the same price click. This was selling for £280 6 months ago.

Hi. I'm looking for a cheap laptop that I can download programs to (eg BBC iPlayer) and watch later via a HDMI lead on a TV. Does anyone know if this is suitable or can they suggest anything better please?

I probably bought dozens of things from Very over the years including 2 Laptops. Never really had a problem.

In contrast only used JL about 3 or 4 times and had problems every single time.
