It's a really good spec but it's only available purple so may not suit everyone

I've seen many reviews that the keyboard is very flimsy and when pressing it lightly it still seems to move inwards around the letter that's pressed.
I was interested in this until I read and saw a video about the keyboard

Ya, good deal. I took advantage of it a few days ago thanks to this deal

Interested. Not the fastest processor but seems a good deal. Has anybody any idea if works fine with Linux, FreeBsd, etc?

This still seems better bet. Marginally better cpu, 4gb less ram but FHD. And ram is cheap and easy to fit.

i bought this in June and it was in the bin about a month ago as keyboard stopped working, charging port broke with very little use or anything and battery stopped charging after about 15 charges. Very did not want to know and Lenovo were a disaster as they said battery had had too many charges and was no way it only had 4 months use and charging port was damage and not a fault and no complaints from other customers about keyboard failing.

Not really like for like as £50 more expensive, doesn't come with free Microsoft Office, and you would need to add another 4GB of ram.

Well £50 very credit, not £50, and the OP didn't mention that. 1 year ms office, so better to get used to using it already. You may or may not need to add the 4gb ram, bigger difference to either would be swapping the hdd for a sdd. That it's FHD outweighs the other differences for me.

That's definitely made my mind up then. I'm steering clear of this.

Did they not repair or replace it under the warranty because it shouldn't have been playing up after only four months of use

i had been fighting with them for ages and they were saying damage was caused by misuse which is bull as I look after all my stuff but kept sending me back to each other.i could not deal with them anymore as I lost it down the phone to them so I just counted my loses and moved on.never again will I deal with very for a laptop.
