Vista I know, but otherwise well rated

and well over £400 elsewhere

Actually I think you can get a free upgrade to windows 7?

"Buying a vista laptop? Get Windows 7 Upgrade- See T&Cs at www.tesco.com/windows7

Check if it's SSD
I can believe a laptop with 250GB SSD will be priced at 330.

The specifications on the website are wrong.

The laptop doesn't have SSD drive

it doesn't have bluetooth

it doesn't have a card reader

it doesnt have OS media.

This laptop was listed on HUKD a few weeks ago. I purchased it and returned it the second day. Customer service was not helpful either.

If the specifications were right, it is a very hot deal indeed.

wrong specs-- shame also vista to win7 can be troublesome

I hadn't even realised about the SSD! :) Would be fantasic if it was!

But even without this is a just about the cheapest branded 15" laptop I can see -
Great for anyone wanting basic word processing and may be DVD playback

I will be disappointed if there is no bluetooth or card reader though (but again not the end of the world as USBs for these can be had for a couple of quid each)

Oh er - I'd just ordered one without reading above, still a good deal though, might sniff around the box on the counter and maybe hand back.

I purchased this a week ago and it was the best spec laptop for the price (not bothered about the SSD to be honest), with the added peace of mind it being a Lenovo.

It does not have a card reader slot or Bluetooth; and the harddrive seems to be 220GB. I called Tesco to inform them of this, and rather than return for a full refund, I chose to keep it and get a £45 refund for their error.

This takes the net price I paid to £274 after quidco, which in my opinion for a Lenovo 15.6ins/Pentium T4 processor /3GB ram and 220GB hardrive is an absolute bargain.

The 250Gb is 250Gbits which equals around 232Gbytes. you will find that there is a hidden partition on the drive which contains a backup of your operating system and allows you to restore the laptop to the state it was when you first got it. The hidden partition is usually around 10Gbyte in size which explains why you can only see 220Gbytes.

I had a different experiance. I got a call from one of the managers and she offered me either £50 or the price difference b/w any other laptop from tesco direct (whichever is less)

What did you go for?

I purchased this very same laptop. The specs. online are completely misleading. The manager said, its like this for past 3 months and will be corrected soon. However, today after 2 weeks the specs are still the same :)

looks like you can get a Win7 upgrade http://www.lenovo.com/us/en/windows7-sitelet/free_win7.html at a cost of 16.75Eur delivery.
