I'm a bit puzzled as to why it links to Ebuyer at £264.53though!

Especially when it is cheaper at: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Lenovo-Ideapad-S10-2-1-66GHz-Windows/dp/B002IVTBD6
@ £255.97 delievered

Useless. the only reason i'd buy a whateverPad would be for the trackpoint in preference to a trackpad. and this doesn't haven't making it just another generic netbook. Build quality has gone way down since Lenovo took over.

Incidentally does anyone know of a netbook, or affordable sub-note with a trackpoint device?

Either way all these netbook deals are pointless in my eyes, why dont people just spend the same amount on a proper laptop???
these things are only capable of web browsing and are far too small to use for any lengthy period of time!

Ive been using a 10" Sharp for about 5 years and it has been a handy supplement to a main PC. I can take it wherever I go without bothering about the weight. It still copes with a 7Gb database on its 1GHz processor, and I still use it even though I have a 'proper' laptop. The best thing I find is being able to use it properly where space is tight like on a plane or train.

To call them only suitable for web browsing is missing the point, its all about portability not speed. If you don't need a very portable computer, don't buy one. These compare to the Sharp when it was launched, and they cost £1200 then.

errr the majority of people use their computer 99% of the time to go on the net, so something lite, small and potable is all u need.

That especially applies to minds. Small minded, narrow viewpoint comments are dead easy to make though without considering what people might want to use them for.:x

The fact that you don't find them currently useful doesn't mean that someone else won't find one useful. My current lifestyle means I would use one very little now, but it would have been superb in other situations in my recent past, and a 14 to 15.6" Laptop would be a total chocolate teapot, whatever it's speed and performance, if only they had been so available and inexpensive back then!
