Obligotary link for rubbis CPW website https://www.carphonewarehouse.com/lenovo/kia.html#!colour=silver&capacity=6GB&dealType=sf

I cant find this model else where so not sure if it has another name.

Seems to have Android Marshmallow and NFC so some of the thing i would be looking for.

Sorry for the lack of image, im using a vista computer and it wont show up (but will on my phone)

Edit: received my phone, specs on website are all wrong, it's the normal k5 Vibe.

I think the biggest question we all want to know is why are you using Vista?

Does it come with a 7 year warranty?

I just did a quick search for the lenovo K5 spec & best price... came up with £99.95 at Argos but when I went on Argos site came up at £129.99. Strange that

This is Marshmallow with NFC, it also has a better display and faster processor so either the specs are wrong or it isn't a K5 which I own and would actually buy this as an upgrade

Its was £94.99 on amazon a few months back
#6
k5 is a 720p screen, this is a 1080p screen? unless I have read the specs wrongly....so there may be other differences, either way, it's not a k5...
also quad 1.5 and quad 1.2 v k5's quad 1.4. that's right yeah?

K5 has lollipop not marshmallow. Even though they keep promising us it.

Are you sure? My Lenovo I bought a few weeks ago for £95 from Amazon was a dual sim with an octacore processor.

I think it was prime day. I used the audible £10 credit to get it for £85

But what I'm trying to say I think it's a totally different phone to the one on here.

how does it compare to moto g4?

Yes, the Lenovo Kia seems to be a re-branded K5 Plus, which is an upgrade (higher res screen, faster processor) over the normal K5.

Any reviews on this?

I actually contacted CPW and Lenovo about this handset the other day, according to Geek Squad the specs are correct on the CPW website (for some reason Lenovo don't even have them) and it's a CPW web exclusive which is why you won't find any info on it elsewhere. I also went into a store to ask about it and they had no idea what it was.

It's tempting, the only sticky point being the 6GB of Internal Storage, unless they did actually write that wrong and it's 16GB.

Edit: I agree with Billythekid116, the specs match up with the K5 Plus, so the 6GB storage is probably a typo on CPW.

@ rantantan: The G4 is bigger (11mm taller, 5.6mm wider, 1.8mm thicker and 13g heavier), it has the Snapdragon 617 chipset compared to the 616 the Kia has, the clock speeds are listed as the same, so I guess it's just some sort of newer revision and it has a bigger battery with fast charging capability (although you have to buy a Turbo Charger seperately). I expect both will get updated to Nougat although I reckon the G4 will get priority. G4 is around £20-40 more expensive depending on the deal.

I'm not believing it's 6GB surely would be 8GB or 16GB.

I'm more interested about whether it is really Marshmallow and more so the NFC.

Will order later I think, give it a shot should be here Thursday.

Will update here with a model number and confirming specs.

I've read full spec on CPW and compared to GSMarena it's definitely Lenovo Vibe K5 plus with 5inch Full HD screen, Octacore Snapdragon 616, 2GB Ram, 16GB internal storage 13MP and 5MP cameras Stereo Speakers Battery 2750mAh and Marshmallow. If you don't mind future Android updates it's very good alternative for Moto G series, especially it's cheaper, has NFC, and smaller with 5inch Full HD screen. I've had a Moto X Play with 5.5 inch. After one week I gave up because not handy size at all and exchanged for Galaxy A3 2016 (£150 at Cex) - excellent compact from Samsung with better battery life than Xperia Z3 compact (I had one)

If this is a rebranded K5, they definitely do come with 16gb memory. Must admit I am tempted by this.

Thanks for commenting guys. I havent bought it yet but really tempted. Was debating on the Moto G 3rd gen 2gb version from Amazon for £119.99 but it says 1-2 month wait- which probably means permanently out of stock.

I take you you mean the LG G4. The G4 would be an easy choice.
The camera on that will slaughter the one on the Lenovo, the camera on the G4 is still one of the best on the market in 2016.

They are talking about the Lenovo Moto G4, not the LG G4.

Under 'Overview' on the CPW website, it does state the storage as 'Available in 16GB'

This is running Lollipop though, whereas the one sold by CPW is running Marshmallow. The main negative point is that the battery life is apparently pretty bad.

No, I was replying to rantantan who asked how it compares to the Moto G4.

I don't think so. I'm willing to bet the camera, screen and battery life (although your battery is probably pretty old by now) on the G2 is better, performance might be a tiny bit better on the Kia but I don't think it would be noticeable. Only pro's of this Lenovo Kia would be having Marshmallow and most likely an upgrade to Nougat, unless you're willing to flash custom ROM's to get Marshmallow on your G2.

Just an opinion of course.

I've used my Barclaycard through the Barclays app and NFC on my last phone a Sony M5 (godbless his soul before he was killed!)

No fingerprint scanner, just have to wake the phone and tap under £30 or tap and type in pin for over £30

I was at my parents and didn't have my iPad or laptop with me. I was using my old/ spare laptop.

Looks nice!
Good specs for a 5 inches
I've got used to 5.5 on Moto g4 now but would like to see the Kia in action

And NFC for all the NFC must have crew!!!!

Probably ok for the price, but the camera - which I think you are keen about - will not be up to the standard of the G2. In other words, one to avoid.

Specs seem fairly similar to my galaxy s4 I think? Apart from having a more up to date OS. Nice phone tho.

Alcatel Pop 4 runs Marshmallow & is half the price - wouldn't recommend it though.

I think CPW might have the spec wrong, I'm pretty sure that this is Lollipop not Marshmallow - there are lots of threads on Lenovo's forums e.g.: https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/K-and-Vibe-Z-Series-Smartphones/Marshmallow-update-for-lenovo-vibe-k5-plus/td-p/3306576

Still this looks like a good Dual Sim, LTE + LTE, (Dual Standby) + microSD card phone with NFC. Just missing a fingerprint sensor & LED notification to keep everyone happy!
