On the three Facebook page, this video https://www.facebook.com/ThreeUK/videos/1537178722963742/ says 'nougat update due within a couple of months'. Another video mentions it is a three exclusive for 'first three months'.

Battery life tests are in.

An eye opener.

Spoke to Three rep today (6th Feb) said the offer is ongoing, said they weren't aware of any upcoming change in price.

apart from the battery my 3 year old Nexus 5 is far better than this

You mean apart from A Bigger & Brighter Screen / Faster Data Speeds / Expandable Storage / Double the Ram / 4K Video / Better Build Quality / Fingerprint Scanner / Fast Battery Charging and Far Far Better Battery Life your Nexus 5 is better ;)

Just bought one, 4 GB ram confirmed. Usual price is £300, maybe this is a promo price? Says £100.01 discount on receipt X)

Info below provided by The_Hoff

Issues/fixes:
Q:Poor quality photos from stock camera app?
A:Install Open Camera from Play Store and configure http://opencamera.sourceforge.net/help.html

Q:Is it unlocked and does it work on 4G?
A:Yes it is unlocked like all '3' devices and worked on all UK 4G bands tested.

Q:Can you recommend a case/screen protector?
A:Only cheap ones exist so far, Avidet from Amazon or generic folio styles. Please let us know if you find a good one.

Q:Any problems with the phone?
A:Some users have noticed a lip-sync issue on certain YouTube content - not overly distracting, very fractional. Volume rocker and power buttons are looser than you would like, slight rattle. Sky Q app is broken with full screen viewing, Sky Go app seems a little jerky (media framerate is irregular. Reported to Sky 17/01).

Q:Can I buy it without top-up on PAYG?
A:Some users have had success in buying it for £199.99 without the £10 top-up by simply telling them they're a '3' customer, or buying it via a friend/partner with an existing '3' number. Others have had to pay.

Q:What's the phone like?
A: The phone is superb with the only mediocre component being the camera. In poor light conditions it struggles though some of this can be rectified using Open Camera app. Screen, build and general pace of the phone is excellent value.

Q:Is this the best value phone for under £300?
A: I would argue there's very little on the market for this price that competes (£200), and if battery is your priority there's very little competition at any price (including flagships), awaiting benchmarks but we expect the P2 to top the charts where standby and screen on time are concerned.

Q:How can I customise the phone?
A:Download Nova Launcher from the Play Store, if you buy Nova Prime and install the Nougat Icon Pack it looks very clean.

Q:Is there much bloat?
A:No, most of the 5/6 apps included on the phone can simply be deleted. With Nova you can also hide apps you don't wish to see.

Q:Does this come with Nougat or will it be updated?
A:At the moment we have no confirmation of this but expectations are that it will receive Nougat (assisted by reasonably stock Android, and Motorola acquisition). Spring/Summer as a guesstimate but no guarantee yet.

Q:Is the phone able to play Hi-Res audio?
A:Yes, we have tested .flac files.

Q:Where can I buy it?
A:In the UK it is a Three exclusive, though in a recent 'Three' video I noted it said "launch exclusive" which leads me to believe it is a timed exclusive and may be available on other networks who already partner Lenovo, like Vodafone and CPW.

If you have any others add them to the OP and we can keep things more on-topic in the thread.

Spent the night configuring mine to exactly how I like everything to be, and it's a quality handset with a great browsing experience. Definitely snappier than my old OnePlus One. The only downsides are the disappointingly wobbly volume and power buttons along the side, and slightly delayed YouTube lip syncing (hoping a fix comes sooner rather than later for that). Compared to the positives these are fairly minor downsides.
Even the camera is actually fine - but only after you do away with the DIRE built-in camera app. I installed Google Camera instead from an apk site and the image quality is much improved, I'm quite happy with it now.
can you tell us which camera you installed, if possible the paste the link , and some instruction for those of us who are not tech-literate
thanks in advance

Install Open Camera, better than "Camera" by Google. Just be sure to go in to settings and set your quality to max.

Perhaps you can add some info from what we've discussed/found so far to stop the repeated questions.

Issues/fixes:
Q:Poor quality photos from stock camera app?

Sky Q app is broken with full screen viewing, Sky Go app seems a little jerky (media framerate is irregular. Reported to Sky 17/01). We also have noted issues in Netflix/Amazon Prime were HD streaming causes some sync issues, minor but noticed, we hope Lenovo correct this as it is a common chipset and common resolution.

Q:Can I buy it without top-up on PAYG?
A:Some users have had success in buying it for £199.99 without the £10 top-up by simply telling them they're a '3' customer, or buying it via a friend/partner with an existing '3' number. Others have had to pay.

wouldnt necessarily 'want' fast charging. At best its handy if you are short on time, not a good long term method of charging as it will decrease the life of the battery.

Q4: Can Quick Charge hurt my smartphone's battery?

A: Quick Charge operates within the design parameters of batteries found in most smartphones. It is just charging the battery the way it is designed to be charged.

Device manufacturers build smartphones with a specific battery that can accept a specific level of charge. The battery size and maximum current of each battery are design decisions made by the manufacturer and can vary from smartphone to smartphone, tablet to tablet and so on.

However, traditional battery charging technology does not come close to the full power requirements of today's large batteries. Quick Charge is designed to allow device manufacturers to achieve the full rated capability of the batteries they choose while still meeting the performance and safety standards set by the battery manufacturer.

Yes, it is best to keep the 24W charger for emergencies and to use a low power USB for standard safe charging. The defunct Note 7 used the very same Quick Charge !

But charge sensibly, and only to 80%, and that 5.1AH battery should last a good 5 years.

No need for a removable battery when they supply an internal one fit for purpose!

I will throw you a lifebuoy as you seem to be drowning. Every time you charge a battery you damage the chemical structure. Two things cause the most damage. Fully discharging the battery and heat. Qualcomm Quick Charge causes your battery to heat up. This will damage the battery more than charging that doesn't heat the battery. Now this charging could be normal "slow" charging or fast charging as done by OnePlus - Dash Charging.

It is well priced but it is priced for what you get. If you are after premium build, camera and performance then look elsewhere. However the SD625 is known to be very efficient and couple this with that battery and you have GENUINE two day battery life. Go and have a play in the shop before you commit but it does look like a decent device.

This appears to have only 3gb, the camera will be nothing like as good as the P9 and the HiSilicon Kirin 955 is a high end processor, whereas the SD625 is mid range. You'd be swapping a flagship device for a decent mid range phone.

P9 is a premium smartphone this is a midrange similar to a Moto G4. Camera, screen and build quality likely to be vastly inferior to P9.

OLED, 3 or 4 GB Ram, a 14nm SOC, 2Ghz speed, Adreno 505, 5.1AH battery, NFC + fingerprint reader. It is only a little like the Moto G4
