7 inch android tablet with Wifi and 3G down from 199.95 to 129.95. There is also 30 pound cashback until the end of the month.

Bought the Wifi only version for around £150 a few months back so this seems like a bargain for the extra 3G option.
Comes with a two year garantee.

Are Lenovo tabs any good?

Lenovo laptops aren't nowadays and I don't hear much either way on their tabs.

They still make some excellent machines, they also make more cheap and cheerful ones these days so perhaps that's where you got the negative impression.

can you make voice calls on this?

Don't think it can unless you use LINE or Skype etc..

can you make voice calls on this?

Yes http://www.gsmarena.com/lenovo_s5000-5683.php says it has 2G network available. So voice calls will be at least as good Skype etc.

This recently got 4.4.2, too, but it's not as snappy as 4.2.1 so be warned.

I have a 10" Yoga (from a deal on here) which is excellent. The update on that has quite a few problems and is no longer available until they sort out the problems. I don't know if it is the case with this one.

Build quality is great so I would expect this to be as well. My wife has a Lenovo laptop for work and, in comparison to Dells, it is built like a tank.

I'm think its only mobile broadband no voice call support... what a shame...

An excellent deal OP making this less than £100. Just sold my Nexus 7 2nd gen that I got from the Sun+ offer for £165 at work and will be buying this instead = after outlay for Sun+ subscription for the year I only paid £20 for a 3G tablet !!! X)

I didn't even open the Nexus so cannot vouch for it but believe to be very good. Already have 2 x Nook HD+ and 1 x 10.1 Samsung Galaxy Tab in our house but this has 3G connectivity so useful if away from home, even if it is not as good as nexus 7 it is more usable (having not having restraint of needing wi-fi) and it is less than 1/2 the price of the Nexus ...

Rather have the Asus Fonepad going for £99 on here - don't trust Lenovo reliability...

Suggestions for replacing my aging t61?

Matte screen, trackpoint and no numpad. My t61 has a 15.6" screen @1280x960 but I'd wouldn't mind trying a higher Res. on a similar size screen. Unfortunately I'm getting very picky about keyboards.

No prob compromising on battery life, size/weight, perceived stylishness. Idk about budget - question is more about how long do I have to save to replace the current machine.

Many thanks in advance if you can give me some direction, nothing fits the bill so far.

A t400 or t410. Got a used t400 with Windows 7 about £210, so good I bought a 2nd identical one with a dodgy screen off Ebay as a media centre connected to TV.
May not be powerful enough for you? Then maybe there are ex-corporate Lenovo W520s about at reasonable prices.

I don't think it includes cutback as i have just spoke to a member of staff and they have clearly stated it does not include cash back as it does not say on the website
