Been looking for a small laptop (but not an atom netbook) and this looks like one of the better offerings from Lenovo at the moment. Long battery life. Processor is not as good as core i3 but there is trade off against battery life. Additional memory is best added by your self, Lenovo charge a small fortune.

Keen to hear opinions on this model.

Use eCoupon Code: XMASPROMO5% to get price quoted. Although description on link states E350 processor, the only option given under customize is the E450.

The intel version looks much better for £20 more

That model has the Intel Pentium Dual Core B950M Processor. Core i3 is an additional £67.

Although Intel is more powerful, I am looking for long battery life.

I saw a comparison for another model (X121e) which suggested 2 hours extra when comparing E350 to core i3. Is fusion really that similar to atom?

    Thanks for feedback.

    Good link, thanks.

Conclusion About AMD E-450 & AMD Radeon HD 6320

This single-die CPU/GPU combination is good for usual computer tasks, which doesn’t demand high-end hardware. The E-450 is good for Web, e-mail, light work in office suites, and fully supports 1080p video playback thanks to the UVD3. It’s Radeon HD 6320 integrated graphics is good for playing older game titles. It is also possible to play newer games, but only on lowest settings. When compared to the E-350, performance improvement exists, although it’s not big. However, the main advantage of the E-450 over many other chips is its affordability, enabling full-size laptop prices of as low as $400.

Read it again, it says up to A8 on that spec, and actually go look at the options, it costs way more for an A8.

Either there is a reason that prices have risen or this is not a particularly good time to buy. An E525 A4 4GB was selling for less than this recently and is now £100 more.

Unless in a desperate hurry I can't help but think a much better offer will come along soon.

I spent 2 months debating on "lenovo" x 121's and others like this.
I came to the conclusion having read much that "lenovo" is medocre quality and has poor service with very average price to performance ratings.
    No heat from me.
I ended up buying a scratch and dent Dell 6320 business class laptop 13.3 inch i5 2.5 Ghz, 4 G ram, win 7 pro, dvd re write.
    for £450 inc vat!!!!!
tis spotless as new with 3 years warranty! and is made with tri metal mil spec construction.
Makes all other laptops feel like plastic toys.
Conclusion is the highstreet and "lenovo" are full to busting with plastic tat.

Lenovo was previously IBM and the ThinkPad range have always had excellent build quality. From the reviews I've read this hasn't faltered since Lenovo's purchase. I'm interested in this and reasonably techy but you lot started talking in a foreign language when you started referencing paper sizes so I'm really not sure what to do now.

Typing this from a Lenovo netbook that I've had for a year and use extensively every day. Very happy with the build quality and performance. Only contacted Lenovo once and they replied same day so no complaints so far.

Prices will fall again about the 1st. January 2012.
The low prices suddenly switched off on the 30th. November, I blame that fat bloke in a red coat.

Had a Lenovo as a personal lapptop for the last year and have found it well built and reliable even though I travel a lot and shoving it through airport security twice a week. Now, I've had a lot of company purchased Dell machines in my time (5 in the last 12 years) and each one has given me grief. Personally I wouldn't even use them as a doorstop. Got my new company Dell laptop last October (even though I protested about another one) and it broke down 3 weeks later. Took 3 engineer onsite visits to sort it out. First time the spare parts were broken, the second time some spare parts were missing and finally got it sorted the third time. I could not believe that on average the onsite engineer had to speak to 5 different people before he was able to reorder the parts. And that's the engineer who has all the telephone numbers!! Thank God that wasn't a machine I paid for!!
If your happy with your Dell then good luck to you but don't tell me that Dell is great.

Looks like you can now get this cheaper if you go through quidco who are offering 10% off all Think products + 4% cashback.

    Use code QUIDCO10%

I don't know if you can use multiple codes. May have to drop the code XMASPROMO5%. Anybody know?
