Refurbished but it's from Lenovo's "ReThink Gold" programme which is basically "as new" A+ Condition. The last time I bought a laptop under Lenovo's ReThink Gold programme, it was immaculate - not even a spec of dust on it.

Good choice if you're looking for something light and portable as an alternative to a Surface 3 type device, or prefer something that you want to use on your lap more often. It's also fanless, so no noise.

Key specs:
• Intel Core m3-6Y30 Dual-Core w/ Hyper-Threading Skylake Processor
• Intel HD Graphics 515 (GT2 version of the Skylake GPU)
• Windows 10 Home 64-bit
• 11.6" FHD LED IPS 1920x1080 Touchscreen
• 8GB DDR3L 1866 MHz
• 128GB SSD M.2 (easily upgradeable)
• Intel Dual-band Wireless AC 3165 with BT 4.0
• 1x USB 3.0, 2x USB 2.0 (1 supports D/C in), Micro HDMI-out, 4-in-1 card reader (SD MMC, SDHC, SDXC and SD), Audio combo jack, RJ-45
• LED Backlit Keyboard
• Stereo speakers with Dolby Home Theater
• 1MP HD camera
• Up to 7 hours battery life with 45 WHr battery
• 1.1 kg / 15.8mm thin

Only downer that I can see is that this model is orange in colour (though it doesn't look too bad), and battery life could be slightly better (10 rather hours rather than 7 would last a whole day).

I've had this laptop for a while, highly recommend it for anything that isn't gaming. only issue being small storage and keyboard a bit fiddly.

Is this processor lower than i3?

The i3 is slightly faster but better battery with the m3. Hope it helps.

can't see the point on paying more than a couple of hundred quid unless its got a dedicated graphics card built in & its not just for gaming it will speed up most things & take the stress away from the CPU.

Having used my g/fs lower spec Yoga, this is very appealing....

If I were to use Photoshop on this
OR
Use it for very basic gaming (I don't need top end, but I'd like to be able to quickly load up classics like Sonic Adventure from Steam, or Duke Nukem 3D, or even bloody Worms Armageddon on multiplayer if possible!)
Would I be disappointed?

Slightly off topic but you'll have some trouble getting Worms Armageddon to work on Windows 10, or at least the Steam version anyway. I had to find a bunch of files and 3rd party applications that re-write the config files for it to work, and it's still buggy.

Depends on whether you value battery life or performance

as already said the m3 is just a lower power consumption version of the i3, but does have slightly lower performance, for the 7th Intel have ditched the m3 and m5 and adding a 'y' to the end of the processor. so now you'll have i5-7200 - full power version for desktops, i5-7200u - for decent laptops, i5-7200y for tablet style wanting better battery life.

not confusing at all.

Before all the 'time machine' funny men come out, but this was an Amazon Lightning Deal for £339 few months back, the relevance here being it was that price brand new and I'm sure it wasn't a loss leader so it will probably go down again in the sales.

I'll see if I can find the link.

It was here: http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/lenovo-yoga-700-11-6-inch-fhd-convertible-laptop-orange-intel-core-m3-6y30-8-gb-2445451

'WTF', having seen your general arrogance in other posts I expected a reply like that. Isn't it obvious - if Amazon can sell it brand new for £339.99 and not make a loss then why is paying £420 for a refurb a good idea? Anyway I thought you were a big advocate of waiting until Spring, because everything gets cheaper:

If they can sell it for that back then, would logic not suggest it will have a decent drop again soon.

These were probably £2.75 in 1864 BC. Doesn't mean that you're going to get it at that price now.

Amazon always have very brief 'lightening' deals on certain items to reduce stock. Doesn't mean that they're going to do it again particularly as stock reduces.

I didn't say 'now', I said it will likely come down, even more so as it will be superceded by Core M Kaby Lake. It wasn't £339 because of inflation if that's what your odd comparison was to 1864 BC was.

Anyway, here's a Camelcamelcamel link - the Orange coloured one (which I was actually quite fond of) has been bouncing around quite a bit in price:
http://uk.camelcamelcamel.com/Lenovo-11-6-Inch-Convertible-Touchscreen-Notebook/product/B017LVZFKU?active=price_amazon

The actual computer, I ended up selling mine on, it was nice but the Yoga setup made it quite heavy for an 11.6" machine and it has huge bezels so the footprint is quite big, more so than it needs to be - it ended up being one of those 'jack of all trades' type things.

1.1kg is heavy for a 11.6" laptop? Do you have weak arms?
And if you look at the price movements on the graph, the movement is upwards, not downwards, and if you knew anything about price movements of laptops during their lifecycle, you'll see that there's no double dip which doesn't suggest a downwards price trend.
Are you incapable of replying with some amount of respect or is that just your personality? No point in trying to have a reasoned debate with someone like that. But yes, compared to a Surface Pro 3 or 4 it is heavy and too much to be reasonably used in tablet mode IMO. Seems your only response is insulting others. So I'll just come out and say it, 'I don't like this deal' and that's based on reason and owning the actual laptop in question from new and at a lower price, in just the same way you didn't like an MSI gaming laptop with a GTX950M. I'm sure you will respond as your compelling need to have the last word sticks and I'm sure it'll be another insult, because you don't know any better.

The Surface Pro 3/4 isn't a laptop - it's a tablet hybrid.

The Surface Pro 4 with keyboard 1.08kg. You must live on a different planet to the rest of us if you think that's so much lighter than 1.1kg.

Try comparing like for like.

And as for you being "sure" that Amazon didn't sell this at a loss, how can you be "sure"? Do you work in their pricing and accounts department? You just seem to be one of those people who gets hypersensitive when flaws in their irrelevant postings get pointed out to them.

And BTW, this is an example of a line graph for a product with a downward price trend. Double dips, median line trending downwards etc.

Know your graphs.

You don't seem to be very good with dimensions either as it's footprint is smaller than that of the Surface Pro 4 (which you must think is massive compared to this).

Microsoft Surface Pro 4 (without keyboard)
292.10 x 201.42 x 8.4mm

Lenovo™ YOGA™ 700-11ISK
290 x 197 x 15.8
