I just bought the i5 version of this for an extra £70 or so at Currys, I thought given this is a Full HD screen as well with dedicated gfx card and plenty of space, its a bargain.

There maybe some new customer discounts available, however I am unsure as to what these maybe.

The £475 version has the FX-7500 and r7 m260 which is probably worth the extra (3.03% TCB)

Well Lenovo do take part in AMD rewards however John Lewis are not listed as participating retailers. So you may get them with any retailer or maybe JL messed up. If so you could argue that you missed the games worth $110 (£70) and want the cash. Long shot granted.

We bought this from John Lewis and got the two games. The selection is awful though and can be had for around 5 pounds. That being said the laptop is excellent

Is the AMD processor any good, and has anyone spotted the John Lewis model anywhere else for less (must have optical drive)?

Take a guess lol. It really depends what your using it for. As it's a quad core, everyday tasks are going to be nippy but it's actual performance for serious work is not great.

So what is the dedicated graphics card?

So what is the dedicated graphics card?

R5 M230. Which is a 320 shader part and the apu is the A10 7100 which has 256 shaders.

The higher spec one uses the R7 M260 which is a 384 shader part and a FX-7500 apu which also has 384 shaders.
