Lenovo Zuk Z2 Pro 128GB

One of the best rated and highest spec chinese import phones from a reputable manufacturer. Available in black or white - listed at £310 - use code zukz2128 or click on the coupon on the product page for an additional £50 off.

5.2" 1920 x 1080 AMOLED display
6 GB RAM
Snapdragon 820 @ full clock speed (unlike Mi5)
128 GB UFS 2.0 Internal Memory
Glass front and Back
Samsung f/1.8 Isocell camera with 4-axis OIS
Ridiculous sensors - Pulse-oximeter, UV + all the usual gyros, compass GPS etc.

Yes, it DOES have B20!

The only thing this doesn't have is an SD card or NFC...

Has been around £380 for a while, last day or two hovering about £310, but, imo, the coupon makes this a real bargain.

The Lenovo ZUK Z2 seems better value but this is the best price I've seen this at.

On paper the specs look great for that price. Shipping from China though.

I agree apart from the obvious screen size difference, the main thing is the Pro is slightly thinner I think, hence marginally smaller battery, but it has UFS rather than Emmc memory which is a bit faster, and obviously B20 which will be a deal breaker for O2 users.

I bought a Z2 (not pro) from Banggood and it arrived in 10 days with no fees.

Not just on paper - it handily beats the S7 in both benchmarks and side-by-side comparisons, it also compares pretty well with the oneplus 3T

The s7 edge is stupid with its annoying edge screen always activated with your palm. Plus Samsung phones are so unreliable.
Even if this unsubstantiated unreliable internet quote were true, then at least Samsung give you a warranty.
I like the ZUK phone, but to spend this much on a high value, high complexity item such as this, is madness I'm afraid.
I don't care what the site says about warranty, the practicalities of returning items to china for warranty purposes make it utterly pointless.
And yes, I speak from experience.

I totally agree I always have the fastest phones on the market s7 is among the fastest.never had a problem with Samsung also if you need to sell the phone on they hold here value brilliantly.i don't want a snide Chinese phone that any phone repair shop won't touch with a bargepole.also if I try to sell the phone on it will be worth peanuts.

I would not pay this much for a phone with no warranty either but I would not buy another Samsung either. The system was a poor phone. Battery was terrible and both mine and my sisters failed more than once. Just did not get on with s7 edge due to screen though it was a nice phone apart from that.
Thing is the post is for a zuk so not sure why people feel the need to come on and say Samsung is better etc. Most people already know that fact. Can't wait to see a real phone.
I must be unlucky with the Samsung phones I have had but they aint been reliable.
I've deleted my post because as you say this is about the ZUK. In reply to you having problems with Samsung I've never had a single problem with any of my phones ever.

Agree that this is a top of the range phone and a cracking price.
I unfortunately got mine from different (Chinese!) website and after a few days of use, the u-touch function doesn't work which is a disappointment, but apart from that, everything is fine. And yes, you do have to play around with Rom that it comes with for you to enjoy the phone fully

You lost me at no sd card and then compounded it with no NFC!

Great phone if neither of those things are important to you.

I have the normal zuk z2 which has a larger battery and smaller screen so dimensions are not too big, also spec wise it has 4gb of ram and 64gb of storage which is more than enough. Zuk is owned by lenovo so quality of their product is top notch. I paid around 200 for mine and I think you can get it for around 180 in some places on eBay which makes it great value for money and worry taking a risk with warranty in the future. Just make sure you get the Indian ROM installed on the phone and you should be good for all Google app and services. I was looking at this pro but can't find any around the 200 mark but if I had a budget of 300 I would buy this offer Samsung any day as zuk finger print home button on the front is brilliant and you can do a lot more than just unlocking the phone, also Samsung fingerprint scanners are usually really bad I had the s6 and it was crap.

So, facts:

The S7 is slower.
Lenovo are not 'fake' or 'rubbish' (they are however chinese)

The S7 unlocked new, costs £600 which is over 2.5x as much as this
For that price it has 1/4 of the internal storage.

The samsung does come with a 2 year european warranty - which was brilliant for me when I tried to send mine back for a bluetooth which never worked and was a commonly reported fault on the model. It took 3 weeks to come back from "repair", was claimed to have a crack on the PCB which I showed them photographic proof of not being there when I had to disassemble the phone myself to attach the camera cable to the PCB which their expert technician had forgotton to do. So, yeah.

Well first of all this is made by Lenovo, you know the compy that bought IBM's PC division and thefeore I don't understand your comment about it being a fake. The S8 Edge may well be a better phone but if previous Samsung phones are anything to go by it will be around 2.5 to 3 times more expensive that this.

one of these or a Xiaomi Mi5??

tough question, i've been pondering it myself - the mi5 has a better camera (i think, subjective, but the OIS is supposed to be truly world class) the CPU is downclocked a little though making it a touch slower, and the border around the screen bothers a few reviewers.

I have the Mi5 and Zuk z2.

Still in two minds about which to have as my daily driver...

If your more bothered about looks and good camera performance then mi5 is the one

however at the moment the Zuk is winning on performance which isn't surprising as it has more ram and the 'proper' 820 soc (Not the under clocked version)

Here is my quick summary from the standard zuk z2 thread ...

"I moved form a Xiaomi Mi5, so it was going to take something good to beat or match it.

At the moment im really liking the Zuk, to put it simply 'it just works' everything i throw at it, it juts does.
For example yesterday I was driving with google maps on, spotify playing in the background, then I can say "OK google call xyz" and it does it without hesitation.
And the battery life is great. It doesnt have the same quality feel as the mi5, and the camera isnt as good, however the performance and battery life beats it.

HOwever there are two annoyances if anyone knows how to fix?.

If i swipe down on the notification bar, and then let go. The notification icons disappear from the top bar. Is there anyway to tell the phone to keep them there until i read or discard them?
The other one (Which i think is a no as it unique to xiaomi) is there a way to enable one handed mode?"

Back onto this deal I would be more tempted with the newly announced Zuk edge. Looks brilliant. about £270 at the moment but not been any deals (Nor does it seem to be available form any re sellers at the moment)
Im hoping bangood get hold of some and do a good pre sale price

Do you have an opinion on which has the better screen? I've heard the ZUK has AMOLED (almost certainly on the Pro, probably on the Z2) and whether the border on the Mi5 is as annoying as some reviewers make out....

Either the price has gone up, or I am just being stupid. But I can't get it lower than £323. Shame, I was actually going to buy it.

The code is still available - just looked into to it and you have to be registered and logged in for the coupon to show on the product page or for the code to work in the trolley.

Thanks for the reply. I was logged in when I tried the code. I have bought from banggood a few times. But, the full price is still £382.95, and when I add the code, it only goes down to £323.72.

Are you able to get the price mentioned when you add the phone to your basket?

EDIT: Nevermind, it was me being stupid. There is another total in the bottom right that I didn't notice.
