Discount: Free specs (£5.99 p&p plus 5.5% handling charge) Who for: New custs (10,000 avail)
Get by: N/A Use by: Get at 5pm Wed 25 May
How: 'Like’ the Lensway Facebook page to get a code for a free pair of glasses some worth up to £99, lots worth up to £79, just pay postage. You'll find the code on the FREE GLASSES tab. Use it online at Lensway* from 5pm Weds 25 May on any specs except those marked 'Coupons not applicable' in grey on the index page. Go quick as there are only 10,000 codes.
The details: You can get one pair of any frames worth up to £99 and standard 1.5 index lenses up to -8 prescription. You have to pay 5.5% of the original frame price as a handling charge. So, for a £99 frame, the 5.5% handling charge will be £5.45, plus £5.99 p&p, £11.44 in total. If you opt for cheaper frames, the handling charge will be less.

All Lensway frames include Premium Anti-reflective, UV Protective and Scratch Resistant coating. However, if you want tinted lenses or thin lenses on a high prescription, you need to pay extra.

You'll need your current prescription and PD measurement. It's worth visiting the site before the offer goes live and picking out a few pairs in case the ones you fancy sell out.
MSE Deborah says:

WARNING! Last time this offer ran it was for 5,000 free frames and the Lensway site was incredibly busy. Codes went VERY fast and some forumites reported the site crashing at the last payment page. With that in mind, don’t think of this as guaranteed, just a bargain if you manage to get them.

The number of £99 specs in the offer is limited and likely to go fast.

I've got my code - now it seems I have to wait till 5 to order.

Great deal if it works, will post here (if) when I've got my free glasses!!

Seem pretty cheap most of the time as well
#2
Although having browsed round to choose my glasses, VERY few £99 frames included in this offer. Still good though
#3
I'd just noticed that most of the 99/expensive designer ones like Boss and Armarni aren't included, however, there's plenty of 60 quid glasses and stuff which are. Got me a voucher, looks like it's the same voucher for everyone so I guess you have to be one of the first 10,000 customers to order but they may have dished the voucher out to many more than that?

I had ordered from them before (also free glasses, only paid postage) and I must say I was really impressed with the service! Gorgeous glasses, with case, and were delivered very fast, by DHL :)
#5
Don't forget 20% quidco
#6
Bang on 5pm i ordered my glasses, £9.79, thanks op :)

They arrive 10th June, excellent!

#9
Thanks just got mine £69 frames with lenses for £9.94

I too chose £69 ones but after discount came out as £9.79. Code wouldn't work at first but it did eventually. I logged into TCB about 4:57pm and didn't checkout about 5:08pm, hope that it still gets tracked. Fingers crossed it's 20% of the pre-discount price :D
#11
Saw it on MSE and grabbed a pair at 5. £60 pair that allegedly retail at £280. Seriously?!
Grand total of 8.69, that'll do nicely! High street prices are for idiots.

Oh, and I went through TCB for an extra 20.2% cashback! Nice potential £1.75 off :)
Could even profit on the deal if, as they sometimes do, track on the original price rather than the discounted one!
Anyone who doesn't fancy liking them on FB, or indeed doesn't have a FB account, the discount code is 11LW250, enter it at checkout.

Code not working anymore, don't know if its because I already ordered a pair or if its all gone
#13
Just bought a pair of http://www.lensway.co.uk/glasses/frames/kam-dhillon-3015-chocoholic-semi-rimless/prod23049.html £79.99 pair for £10.34 delivered plus 20% quidco. very pleased! It's rare to buy prescriptive glasses at this price these days! Specsavers and Opticians sell them at ridiculous rates! Even with the 2 for 1 offer!
It's ashame i didn't wait to buy these as i recently purchased 2 prescriptive glasses for just under £43 and i thought that was cheap! (Suppose to be £110 in total)

Did your code start with 1 and end in 50? I am wondering if they are all the same?

Have ordered 2 pairs yesterday under separate transactions...totally forgot about quidco was under £20 for 2 pairs...maybe too good to be true?? Will find out when posty arrives

I'm not a very strong prescription but would reccommend them to be just double checked at your opticians they can check the strength of your lenses.

Funny you should say that as i got some varifoculs from Selectspecs and they are the wrong prescription. I had ordered in the past but my prescription changed so i sent the new details. I use them for driving and i thought my eyes were getting worse until i looked at my invoice and found they are wrong. I am still waiting for them to reply!
#27
yep my quidco has tracked the original price too of £79 so i'm expecting £15.40 more than i paid for them! :)
#28
Got both my pairs of glasses now and i am very happy especially as i got cash back. :D
#29
