  I must admit I find that more than slightly insulting.
  
  I can guess what your hinting at, but without spoiling the film for others there is never a reciprocated intent from Leon (fatherly if anything) in the film and given the girls background I fear that the way the female lead "thinks" men should be, may be more true to life than one would like, given the characters upbringing in the movie.
  
  I think this is a great film as do a few of my friends and my wife (she was the one to buy it) who are far more cinema buffs (read: anoraks) than I.
  
  Its engaging, amusing with a good hint of dark humour and in some ways moralistic, in just what Leon will and wont do. Plus he likes milk ;-) V good film IMHO

  It is you that is slightly disturbed in believing that 'that' is the only possible motive. Nor is the film overrated just because it is morally objectionable. Your comments were just silly.
  
  Also we are hear to recommend bargains. Just because you don't like something and you must know its extremely highly rated on IMDB then I don't think we should be putting people off.
  
  The vast majority of people will love this film.

  My favourite film. Seen it over 20 times and still absolutely love it. The music playing throughout keeps the mood, it's almost 'arty' to an extent, but brilliant performance by every cast member, and perfectly scripted and cast. I dislike nothing about this film, and I constantly rip films apart when I'm watching them.
