RIP to the great comedy actor Leslie Nielsen. Having seen the 2 threads below I thort I'd get them for my dad:

http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/police-squad-dvd-3-97-at-amazon-rip/812860 ~£4

That makes a £9 total. With this set you also get Airplane and Top Secret for only £2 more. That's got to be worth the extra hasn't it?

To recap thats:

THE NAKED GUN 2 1/2,
THE NAKED GUN 33 1/3

All for ~£11 at Amazon! Seems a bargain

I hate all these movies with a passion, each to their own though and heat added as it seems a good price.

Never said he was, but he is in all the other films! It is actually called "The Nut Case Comedy Box Set" but didn't think that would fit in the title or give any real description of what the product was. Apologies if I mislead anyone!

6p more expensive and longer dispatch estimate, saw it at play originally though

Do we have to get umpteen threads like this every time someone famous dies?
#10
He died? Surely you can't be serious?

RIP. A true comical legend. Airplane! is my favourite comedy film, I may have to watch it for like the 50th time tonight :)

I agree, it does seem very arbitrary.

He might still be alive if he hadn't said, "It's a big building with patients, but that's not important right now."

Yes, they do require a good sense of Humour to understand. Classics!.

Yeah, WTF is it with Top Secret?

Mind you, it's the best movie of the lot and that's quite a claim.

The train station scene alone is worth £11 of anyone's money.

Got this a couple of weeks ago for 10quid in my local Asda.

If we can have a thread like this for talentless nobodies when they die then having a thread for Mr Nielsen who starred in movies for over 50 years should be arbitrary.I guess if there was an app for it nobody would be moaning.

"Having seen the 2 threads below I thort I'd get them for my dad"

10/10 for the most imaginative spelling of the word "thought" that I've ever seen.

I think the fact that he's just died doesn't really detract from the fact that your getting 5 films and an entire series comprised of 6 episodes for £11. Whether you like them or not or whether one of the protaganists has recently died or not it's hard to argue that that isn't a "hot deal" and isn't that what this site is all about?!

I think it's a good idea, save people some money before Hollywood vultures announce the memorial remastered edition on blu ray and OMGWFTBBQ 3D! For 4 times the price.

Leslie Neilsen, what a genius comedy actor.

Back in school all the hip kids would watch Police Squad, you could tell the hip kids because we would be standing about at lunch time cracking up about some bit in Police Squad the night before, tears rolling down our eyes with uncontrollable laughter.

This is a great deal and a great chance to see a legend in action.

If you have never seen it I found the first 20 minutes of the first episode on Youtube (Hope this is okay Moderators...like a taster there is no last part on you tube.. so will have to get the Dvd anway to see the end)

an app to alert you when celebs die?... what a great idea you've just had!

you could rate how they died on a scale of 1-10... and upload pictures of yourself if you're near the place of their death?

...great idea that mate. you should patent it.

Incredible value for money. I bought all these separately when they first came out and they were still worth every penny. Even without the infallible Leslie Nielsen, Top Secret is an absolute cracker.
