These are really good quality for the price. We bought 3 sets to replace all our stoneware crocks as they didn't wash too well in dishwasher. These wash really well and look very stylish. They are made in Tunstall, Stoke-on-Trent (The Potteries!) by Churchill - used a lot in hotels.

Great deal

i had bought these, found the plates really heavy and the square shape would not fit in my dishwasher and microwave, plus the square i felt flat not deep enough and food seem to slide to the table. My girls broke a whole set of the square plates.

I do like the look of the red and black plates, very stylish and modern, but do not find them convinent, however definately heat added as these are priced at much lower than other shops

While you are correct Churchills are based at Tunstall Stoke on trent , but these are made in China like most of Churchills pottery ,

However i have just purchased a set and for the money they are very good value. A few of bowls and plates had marks on the glaze and transfers , and the quality is not like it used to be but for the price who cares.

I might get a set of these later -

Porcelain seem to not chip as much as our regular plates etc, getting fed up with chipped cups too!

The set looks stylish
