Finally got round to watching the film and loved it. As it turns out there was loads from the book left out.

In very different ways, Oskar and Eli were both victims. Which is why, against the odds, they became friends. And how they came to depend on one another, for life itself. Oskar is a 12 year old boy living with his mother on a dreary housing estate at the city's edge. Eli is the young girl who moves in next door.

I've tried watching the film umpteen times. In fact I could probably recite the 1st 20 minutes dialogue word for word. A lot of people have told me it's ace but I just can't get into it.

As often is the case of books being better than the film - War of The Worlds is a prime example - I might get this for my jollies and read it on the beach. I do hope it's not too windy in Rhyll this year!
Amazing film.
I'll buy this to see if it holds the same tension.
The book (and film for that matter) is superb, a lot darker and more disturbing then the film and has more parts for a lot of characters.

I highly recommend this and also Handling the Undead by the same author.
