This gadget is a much better purchase if you need pro duo:

I have 2 x 32GB microSD cards in mine so my PSP has 64GB for a little over £40

I prefer using official technology to be fair. Hate third party crap.
But as it wouldn't support magicgate and ur worried about official ps store downloads not working on them, then it's ur choice

I don't think you can download games if you use sd cards as the console checks for 'magicgate'.
It's ok if you want fake firmware and pirated games I guess, but then again what sort of true gamer would want to do that?!

Probably a non judgemental one?
Little SNES emulator running right now -> brilliant.
I remember paying ~£40 for my MS Pro Duo a few years back.

All personal preference really.
Indeed. How dare people judge others for breaking the law. What on earth is this country coming to...
Don't have the technical skill to do it yourself huh??

Maybe he doesn't want to break the law and have illegal downloads everywhere?!
There's nothing wrong with being legit you know. It is actually piracy that's illegal. I hate it when people won't hold their hands up to it and say it's highly illegal what they're doing.
Recently sold both the PSP and mem stick to make room for a Vita and no-one bothered checking if my mem stick was MagicGate certified or not before trading it in. You have to remember that they are 8 years old now and dropping in both price and popularity. The micro SD card adaptors are actually a much better option as you can potentially quadruple your space for only a few quid more as opposed to these limited use and frankly over-priced Pro Duos.
Decent price for a supposedly "official" memory stick, but if I still had a PSP I'd rather stock up on cheap micro SD cards and get an even cheaper third party adaptor.

To pirate games? That hardly requires technical skill, more the ability to read simple instructions.
