£10 cheaper than anywhere else, and an absolutely unbelievable printer. £89.99 is a saving of over £105 over the RRP.

Also the touchscreen is like an iphone to use, and you can download apps for it!!!

Amazingly easy to set up which is great for technophobes, or for people like me who can't be bothered reading the manual and just want to get started.

Also comes with integrated card reader and USB slot for connecting a flash drive.

lexmark lure you in with cheap printers and rip you off with expensive inks. cheap non branded inks for lexmark are few and far between too. stick with epson imho

This will end up being a mistake - the inks are so expensive (with no compatibles) that you will think twice about bothering to print things! I had one and it's in the attic I think. Search HUKD for the Epson sx515 if you want a great printer with wireless and cheap inks available.

I realise this used to be the case. In fact when I bought my first Lexmark I swore I would never buy another. But it isn't the case any more. The Lexmark S605 is the best all in one on the market, and the inks are highly competitively priced. The SX515 is no comparison if you look at the specs and the reviews

Yes, and running costs. I print Easyjet boarding passes not forge Old Masters so I think it's the Epson for me :D

X) It's the Epson for me too but for anyone considering this, Dixons have it at the same price and you can get cashback through Quidco, TCB etc..

What running costs other than ink cartridges? To buy a complete set of colour and b/w ink cartridges for the Lexmark costs £25 from Amazon whereas it costs £27.99 to buy the Epson inks and they're reported to not last as long.

Can somebody please explain why this makes the Lexmark more expensive?

Not to mention that the Epson is older and has fewer functions and far worse reviews. I don't understand why anyone in their right mind would go for it over the S605 which gets absolutely stunning reviews everywhere.

I can't speak for anyone else but I went for it because of the 65p inks lol

Its a really good printer and trustedreview have also given it a decent review too.

The touchscreen lets you email a scanned image directly to the person, it can send scanned images to a program on your pc and actually gives you instructions on how to do things rather than just flash a combination of lights at you.

you can buy ink for the Epsom for far less than this - visit buytech.co.uk - £30 will buy you 10 full sets of cartridges.

Never, never ever buy a Lexmark printer. They are good, but they are very expensive to run.

The Epson is only cheaper if you buy remanufactured ink, and Lexmark cartridges are not standard so they're more difficult to forge.

Personally I'd never buy remanufactured ink again after a few bad experiences, and the print quality is NEVER the same.

The Lexmark gives an excellent balance of quality over price.

They are COMPATIBLE ink cartridges and will never match the quality of buying originals. You wouldn't buy an unbranded printer or tv (or at least I wouldn't) so why buy unbranded ink?

Thats a pointless argument - like saying why fill up a BMW with tesco petrol !

I changed to their ink more than a year ago and have seen no siginificant difference in print quality and have not any any issues with blokages - only my bank balance is a little better off
