Same price at Dixons and Currys.

Wow this is a bargain, considering it includes a set of inks (which would set you back nearly as much on their own)
Same price at Dixons and Currys.

Not surprising given that they are part of the same group.

It will cost a fortune buying Lexmark ink.

unless you *really* need fax, I'd advise buying something like an Epson SX515W which should cost less initially, less on ink and frankly be sturdier than a Lexmark.

Expensive inks , stay away

Same as above. Inks cost a fortune, which means you will end up spending far more than this printer is worth.
Lexmark deals never seem to attract heat due to the ink costs.

it's usually cheaper to buy another lexmark printer with inks included than to just buy the refills oO

Consider Epson Stylus Office BX300F - sheet feeder & fax & scanner & printer - occasionally been down to £40'something - bargain + bargain inks.
thanks mkd

want a true all-in-one with cheap inks and wireless as well... still looking

True, but not always the case. Often Dixons is cheaper than both PC World and Currys, and with Currys currently offering 5% off everything using a discount code, this should be considered.
