Hi This is no doubt a bargain but its marked discontinued on the Lexmark Site

http://www.lexmark.co.uk/uncomplicate/product/home/295/0,7044,252735_431806019_715234599_en_0_1,00.html

the ink is expensive... i got a few free lexmark inkjet printer from my company but just used up the ink and then into the bin. Selling it isn't worth anything as it's dirt cheap. For the price, its a good deal but when you looked at the price of the ink... you might even think of buying a few and do the same thing.... :).

Do they also do easy term loans for the ink cartridges? :whistling:

Note the supplied cartridges are the half full ones, though as this chap points out, this may work out cheaper for low usage, because the full ones dried out before they were empty.

I have two of these.. Im afraid they are not very good.... stopped working properly after sometime(both of them).

And for the mac users this one doesnt have any mac support.

I have one of these. It can't scan properly, it doesn't print very well at all, the quality is appalling. Hell, the damned thing can't even feed paper into itself straight. Absolute PoS.
#6
its cheaper to buy the printer than the inks i have one....
#7
Voted cold simply because you are given a low price to buy the hardware and are taken to the cleaners with the price of the ink cartridges sometimes paying twice the price buying the cartridges you did for the printer.
#8
Buy one, and refill the carts or buy a few and throw the printer away each time. However it's now "out of stock." Also the link says X2450 but with x1270 details...

Small tip for anyone buying a printer brand new. Always phone the vendor and complain that the printer came iwth no ink in. They will either send you some ink or collect and replace the printer. That goes for bricks and mortar also. If they argue it is impossible argue back and say well it obviously is, as the ink could have not been put in in the first place, or it could get stolen at either point from manufactur to sale. I used to delivery for Currys and used to nick them all the time, lol.

My mate used to complain all the time. Free inks all the way, even with remotes on a new tv, especially if it was a high end tv where the remotes went for 20 quid or so on eBay.

I know it's wrong, but hey anything to screw over the corporate companies!!

Think this is the 1 I have @ home. Give it a miss, paid £40 for it.

Even @ this price it's a joke the amount of ink it gets through.

My remote was delivered fine along with batteries and instructions - but the 50 inch plasma had been taken, and I didn't notice until I was trying to fit the bracket on the back. ( not true really)

... you're a naughty man sir, although I confess I have nicked the odd bit of stationary, oh yeah, and a JCB 3cx.

Seriously, I'm due a curry's TV delivery in the next hour or so - I'd best have a jolly good look ! :?

Lexmark ink costs more per ml than Chanel!

I used to love Lexmark priners and all-in-one machines as the print quality was A1 but their ink just got too expensive as time went on.

Two years ago I went for HP all-in-one machine and haven't looked back since.

As many previous posts... Only buy this if you intend to throw it away as soon as the ink runs out (which will probably be a week after you bought it!)

Spend the money, buy epson or other make which you can get cheap copy cart's for.
Or even better get a CIS (Continuous Ink System) if want to a bit of printing..

or get a laser printer (£50 from ebuyer). 20 pages per minute and works out at 1p per page.

Just had two X2450 arrive (not the X1270 as mentioned in the op), it seems that the title on the tesco product (at least for me) was correct and the description was wrong.
