Doubt if it has any ink in it.

Not very green either to throw it away. At least donate or freecycle it!

What no Vista! Not got Vista anymore myself, but I'm surprised Vista isn't supported.
#10
pretty much all regular printers that work under XP work under vista, with common models having built in vista drivers. Though lexmark do screw around with services and printer spooler, which could cause interesting problems.

Lexmarks are to be thought of as disposable, use them and when they run out of ink throw them out.

Recycle

Shame printer manufacturers dont actually make cheaper inks then it would save a few 1000 of these types of printers being chucked out.
#12
Its cheap - but las Lexmark I had only gave me about 3-4 pages before the ink finished. Juts threw the printer out.

Could be a bargain if you are into refilling yourself though.

I work with Printers and I have to say Lexmark is the worst printers in UK.
So don't buy one even it is free with £10 purchase. The ink won't last long. The catridge are very expensive.
So I have to vote freezing cold on this offer.
Lexmark customer serivice in UK is pathetic.
#14
The cartidges alone are worth more than £5 in Tesco club points when done !!!
#15
Ive got a lexmark x4580 wireless best printer ive ever had 15 quid a cartridge isnt breaking the bank and they last ages even with kids school work
#16
Just checked inkshop.co.uk and a colour and black cartridge work out at £18.50 together. Thats not as bad as some Lexmarks (the I got rid off they were nearly £30 each). So for a fiver this has got to be voted hot surely.

Those carts are half full and so you'd get about 10 pages from each before being empty. This is how lexmark make their profit.
#19
I have 2 lexmark printers which i refill for pennies.
c'mon people:- ink refills!
do it yourself...... easy......cheap as chips!
greener too (recycling)

The best bargain for printing is getting a Samsung ML2010 laser. You get 1000 pages on the starter toner. Then get an Samsung full cart off ebay for £25 ish and you can keep refilling with bulk toner for around a fiver per 3000 sheets! No more blocked nozzles to boot.

Just called 2 Tesco Extras in the (Loughborough and a Nottingham one) Midlands and they say the cheapest Lexmark they have is £18 something.

Neither have this printer.... shame really, really needed a dirt cheap one
#22
I've had a lexmark for 6 years no problems with them.
great deal well done.
#23
They have done you a favour. Epson Printers work out the cheapest . I get good compatibles for my one for £1 each as others have said the problem with Lexmark is the cost of the ink

If you work with printers you should know that all printers are being sold with minimum ink amount (it is for test and print heads care only)
