This is my first posting so be gentle please!

The 10% code seems to work with all products if you select home delivery (and to get that free use the above code)

comet and currys have been reducing this all year - then putting the price back up and then reducing again.

Still, I think £440 inc discount codes was about the lowest before now.

Not a bad fridge but make sure you have enough room for a beast like this and also - no ice/drinks dispenser, which might bother some people.
#7
I bought this last year for nearly double the price. Can really recommend it. Looks good too!

PS The ice dispenser version takes up too much freezer space. It's got an ice tray thing in it which is quite cool.

£440 was the lowest before now, that's what I bought it for in the january sales 11 months ago.

Excellent product, not had a single problem with it so far, no frost build up, the manual temperature is great for the freakish weather we get these days and there's buckets of room. The ice dispenser, as mentioned above, is as annoying as it is useful - Great to always have ice, but it takes a 'huge' chunk out of your freezer space.

Had to take the indoor doors down all through my house and the doors of the fridge freezer itself to get it through to my kitchen too :)

Edit - Oh yeah, the ones with ice dispensers also need to be plumbed in and I wanted to put it along the wall of my kitchen where that would have been a serious problem.

Don't forget a further 3% cashback if ordered via Quidco.

My first post too. Have been using Quidco for a while now though haven't got any money back yet.

Also make sure you can get it in the house - I had one like this and removal of 1 gate and two internal doors we finally got it in :)
#12
I can't get the currys page to load from quidco

I have this one only with the ice dispenser and am very pleased with it. If you're planning on taking it upstairs make sure you measure first!

Mine was going up to the first floor, up an open wooden stair with a 180 degree turn at the half landing and then round some corridors to the room. To do this we had to almost dismatle everything you possibly could from it. The doors are fairly easy to remove and lessens the weight when carrying. It took three of us with the doors off.

The ice maker certainly does take up about a third of the freezer space. Possibly not the best shape of freezer if you buy a lot of large frozen pizzas :)
#14
I don't know - I can lie the large frozen pizzas down flat in it without a problem. It is a fantastic bit of kit for this price. I paid £599 for mine a year ago.

I'm GUTTED....

Ordered this yesterday as a pressie to myself......assumed it would fit though the doors OK, but have just checked after reading some posts...and guess what, it doesn't fit through....that's the trouble with these bl00dy double glazed doors....:viking:

So having just cancelled the order I am wondering if I could have taken the doors off of the FRIDGE...would it have fitted through then...

Any one who has one of these can you tell me how thick the doors on the FRIDGE are to save me driving to Currys.

Thanks
#16
I mentioned above that you definitely can take the doors off the fridge, in fact the delivery drivers are trained to both disconnect and reconnect them (There's some wires etc. that need proper disconnection/reconnection rather than just a few screws).

You'd have to check the store or phone curry's or something for exact measurements but I just took a tape to mine and the doors are approx 6 1/2 cm thick so you can safely deduct that from the depth.
#17
the mesurements are 600mm without the doors so it will fit most houses fine ..

heres the full spec and pics of it ,,(ive ordered one myself ;) )

Thanks for the deal - what a bargain, I couldn't resist!

Just ordered this for my parents, they have been looking at the American style Fridges for a while.
This price has persuaded them to go for it.
Like the mp3 / ipod discount, wasn't sure it would work, but no problems.

Many Thanks for the find:thumbsup:

It must be COOL!!!!

Many thanks. This is just what i needed for xmas!!!

Great price this but I would prefer one with the ice dispenser and cold water. Comet have one at the moment for £499...

Anyone got any promotion codes to get this cheaper or with free delivery?

Many Thanks

Be careful with the delivery guys. I ordered 2 via the store in November for two seperate properties. On each occassion the delivery drivers did not turn up. Both deliveries were then rebooked. They then came and said that the units would not go through as both properties have sliding porch doors. I asked about them taking the fridge doors off as I had measured the clearance with this in mind. But they wanted me to have the sliding porch doors removed. So I went to the store to cancel and hey presto was told what if they could get another delivery team to deliver as they knew they were capabale of manouvering these in . I declined out of sheer frustration as I felt the delivery guys were too busy too waste time removing doors etc. By the way this was via their North London warehouse. So be careful

(AFTER I had bought this fridge) I looked at one similar in my local Currys when I was approached by the salesman..I told him that I would like to buy the fridge but it would not fit through my door, he told me that this was no problem as the delivery men would remove doors and re-fit them. So I mailed Currys to make them aware that the doors would need removing.

They have mailed me back wit this:

I can confirm that the driver will only remove the doors if the
installation service has been purchased. Without instructions
to install, the doors can not be removed by staff.

If you require this service in order for the doors to be removed,
please contact our Aftersales Team on 0870 333 1 222. The
delivery date will likely be affected if installation is required.

I'm not calling aftersales and putting delivery back...hopefully the delivery men will take a 'couple of quid' to do it off the record!
#33
are there any new codes that work?
#35

That's a GREAT deal, but stiil about £50 more than with the Currys codes!

Mines due in 7 days time....anyone had theirs delivered yet?
#36
Although the code had expired we were able to get the 10% discount in store if you ask nicely :)
#37
Did you get free delivery if bought instore too?

I tried buying online, but out of stock for my area, but local stores have them. So will try blagging the 10% and free delivery instore.
#38
Any one had theirs delivered yet?

Mine was due today between 12:00 and 4:00pm.....I arranged to have it delivered on a Sunday because I knew I would be in, no need to take days off work...

At 4 o'clock no sign of it, so I called Currys to be told it's been 're-scheduled' but it will be there before 4:30pm...Guess what I'm still waiting!:viking:

Now I will have to call Currys in the morning, after 9:00am I presume, to make other arrangements..I am so MAD...:viking:

A letter will be winging it's way to Head Office, might also mention the Samsung TV Stand fiasco...

What can/should I expect Currys response to be....should I expect them to compensate me in any way?

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

BTW..I looked on their website for Head Office details but couldn't see any...Anyone know where it is?

Thanks

Hello, mine got delivered last week, fitted through the door no problem. The Two delivery guys got it in within minutes (Althogh they had to take it out of the cardboard box. It's a beauty!!.

The one ordered for my parents was delivered today.
Got a phone call yesterday to say between 13:30 & 16:00.
Came at 15:00, the guys fetched it straight in after measuring the doorway, they were just checking incase they had to take the doors off (no extra cost), after all they would have to take it back and unload it.
Its not difficult to remove the doors, a couple of screws above each door on the hinge, under the wires at the plug and socket for the control panel, then just lift the doors up and away.

Great deal, and they are well chuffed with it, remember to let them stand with the doors open for 24 hrs before powering up, to allow the refrigerant to settle.
