It's weird, last night when I was trying to decide on this one, the stock kept dissappearing from 5 down to zero. At one point the product itself didn't even show up anywhere in Ebuyer.

I ordered one eventually though, but strangely the stock level still shows 5.

If you want one, check the site again, they may still be available!
#10
They cancel my order at £153 (Not aviable in stock) placed yesterday but still available on webite for £247.

I am not happy at all

Going to get my dad to check his order, if they have cancelled it using the no stock reason im going to majorly kick off with them. they are still in stock at the higher price. Anyone else's order been cancelled? Will post again when i hear back about my dad's order

Yes they are encashing same product now at high price, Not good for the ebuyer image :(
#14
Just heard back. according to my dad's account his order is still on and due to be delivered on friday, but i still dont feel very confident! :-(
#15
Speaking to them now. They are now verbally admitting that they got the price wrong. They DO have them in stock, but won't sell at the lower price :(
#16
So any 1 got his CC charged?

anymore info?

Still trying to get somewhere... They are saying that IF payment had been taken, then they would honour. But I actually added this to an existing order :(

But no... no chance of them honoring the price :(
#19
Price has gone down a bit to £246.... ah well! :)
#20
Still £96 more then yesterday ;)

I meant to post yesterday to thank the OP for this deal but the site went down.

I too have received the same cancellation email and am not bloody happy about it! A blatant cop out and quite insulting as well! I've opened an enote with them stating that the product is still on sale and I expect to have my order reinstated at the origonal price. I won't shop with them again unless this matter is resolved to my pleasure.

Crap customer service ebuyer, sort it out or risk shedding more customers.

Don't you mean shedding one more customer :-D

Just waiting for the usual mumbles about reporting to trading standards and watchdog etc. :p

It was a mis-price. It's gone. let it go

I've just stumbled across this thread.
What must be annoying is the, "out of stock" reply, when they have stock. If they send an honest email, saying, yes, mis-price, not selling to you cos of T&C's, fair enough, but to say out of stock is therefore a lie and that's what can be galling in a situation like this.
I've not bought one, just adding 2p
#24
I think stanglish has good reason to be pissed off if ebuyer's reason for cancelling his order was lack of stock / no stock forthcoming, and then show the product as in stock now that its back up to its £250 price.
#25
For the record, mine and mate's order also cancelled. :-( Thought it seemed too good to be true.
#26
yep i ordered one of these, got the same comment off them that it was out of stock, shame they have to lie about it.

two hours before i received the email they item was in my account as "Alocated"

knew this price was to good to be true :(
#27
I got the same email. I sent an enote asking if it was in stock or not and got confirmation that it is. Quote - We do actually have those items back in stock if you replace the order you will receive these items - unquote. At the new price, no doubt. So the email cancellation was a lie.
#28
my order has been cancelled as well. no email about it though had to log in and check. i agree that it was always a long shot that it would have been delivered. so i'd agree with the 'let it go' comment.

bit crap that they dont just admit to the mistake and offer maybe a free delivery voucher or something else to thoes that did try.

If unhappy ebuyer sure aint the only folk selling computer bits. Vote with your wallet and buy elsewhere.

Got the same e-mail but want to go further and take them to court; sounds drastic don't it.

I payed with paypal and the money was withdrawn from my bank account and given to them, and then much later refunded.

They also lied twice in the e-mail saying the item was out of stock and that no money had been withdrawn.

Paypal withdrew money using my debit card.

I want to learn about the consumer law about them accepting the money making it a legal binding contract.

Can anyone help?

I've been looking on http://www.consumerdirect.gov.uk/your-rights/fs_c02.shtml
but can't find anything on this, but I know there is a law on it.

Thnx in advance

Please can someone advise which e-mail address/customer support number to contact regarding this. If they have taken payment then surely they have to honour.
#31
Does anyone have any adivce on the matter if they did take the money?
